At 500+ hours I still find myself logging to play regularly without main-ing the game the way several people who hope to endlessly climb the ranked ladder but as a veteran casual player.
Although the game is pretty simple you will feel the need to improve yourself by playing again and again till you hone your skills. Each legend and weapon can be mastered to a point where you'll amaze yourself with your own skills. The game works well as a duel, as a team game and even as a free for all chaos.
For a competitive game like this, Brawlhalla is surprisingly balanced and keeps offering updates with new characters, skins and even weapons.

I feel the need to write a review for Iceborn after seeing the mixed reviews it has gotten. I cannot speak about the performance issues some people are having since I never had a problem and my setup is pretty mediocre. I can speak however about the quality of the game and address criticisms about its gameplay.

First of all, potential players should know that Iceborn is an expansion targeted mainly towards MHW veterans as it makes the game considerably more difficult and complex in a way that new players would feel lost and maybe even helpless. If you plan on buying Iceborn you should have first finished or be close to finishing the base game. When you have, Iceborn will come to give new life to a game that you will have inevitably done everything there is to do several times.

This expansion not only adds new monsters, areas and weapons but it also adds elements to the game that will make you want to hunt older monsters with newfound excitement and that is more than anyone can ask of an expansion of an already perfect game.

There are no tags that can properly define Monster hunter world and that is because there is quite literally no other game like it out there. In a very real sense, playing MHW one gets the feeling that he's having a completely novel experience and that is very rare for a game as popular and of this calibre. From the character's movement down to the monsters. There are weapons in the game but they don't work as you think they would. There are maps but you don't move around them like you think you'd do. And the monsters? Well that's where mhw triumphs in a way that makes almost every single enemy killing game out there feel like a super Mario game from the Atari era.
A MHW hunt (which is the main thing you'll do in the game) is an immersive, thrilling experience of tracking, ambushing, attacking and hopefully defeating a series of unique complex monsters that work as the series most distinct feature. There's no healthbar for you to keep track of the fight, no aoe markers to avoid. To survive in a hunt one must learn to read the movements of the expertly created creatures. The fight itself can send you flying in the air or falling through levels of tree branches in a way that makes every hunt look like a Hollywood directed action scene.
One would expect that a game that consists solely of hunting monsters would quickly grow stale but the unpredictable nature of the hunt coupled with the amazing visuals will keep you playing for hours and hours. You will want to see all the different weapons and armor just to feel part of this bizarre yet lovable universe.
MHW is in my opinion one of the best games ever made and I hope to have a similarly original experience again someday.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR THE EXPANSION: For those who wish to begin their MHW experience I would implore you not to buy or use Iceborn right away. The games expansion feels like it was created mainly for people who have spent a few hundred hours on the base game first. That's not to say that Iceborn won't be a good experience, but it would be very similar to watching the second part of a film without watching the first one first. Iceborn is more difficult and complex which is exactly what you will need after finishing the base game.

Into the Breach is a turn based strategy game where you have to carefully calculate your each and every move in order to beat stages of fluctuating difficulty. Although your mechs and the enemy monstrous insects move and attack in different (and often complex) ways, the game's addictive nature will keep you there trying again and again, while you find yourself making the dumbest mistakes (and you will make mistakes), until you find yourself consistently calculating 5 or 6 steps ahead like a discount Kasparov. The game's difficulty makes even your strongest run into a fragile endeavor where a single mistake can snowball into a shipwreck. This however makes the upgrades you get for advancing all the more satisfying and relieving as you unlock more options for your own unique board of chess.
The game shares FTLs constant feeling of inescapable impending doom with a soft soundtrack and a simple but fitting art style. It offers a variety of squads to work with and a set of challenging but ultimately attainable achievements that work as a good target for frequent replays.

Like every other Frozenbyte installment so far, Shadwen is very, very aesthetically pleasing. From the breathtaking night sky down to the cobblestones, I couldn't help but abuse the pause mechanic just to enjoy the shot. Any fan of stealth games will find Shadwen's simple yet ingenious controls very entertaining and it's unique stop=pause mechanic will make even the hardest parts beatable if one perseveres and adjusts. The game isn't particularly long but the detailed stages welcome a second and a third playthrough.

We all have that game we feel comfortable wasting a few hours every now and then, this is mine. The arcade controls coupled with the ridiculous visual have served me well when I just want to burn a bit of time.

I remember aeons ago when I came across a crazy taxi arcade. Of course, being young and stupid I was utterly hopeless to the point that I was simply pissing my money away. Who would've thought that so many years later I'd be able to play this on steam and get good enough to finish the game? Cool

F♥♥♥ing wow, is the short review.

Coming from masterpieces like Arkham Asylum and Arkham City (you notice how I omit the other one) I found it highly unlikely to be amazed by a new installment in the Arkham series. I was however pleasently surprised when I played this game. The graphics are out of this world, the map is enormous and after 40 hours of passionate gameplay I can confirm that it certainly doesn't lack in content or gametime. The addition of the batmobile helps to build up the sense of urgency that accompanies a story like this one. Instead of feeling like a later installment that feeds off the success of the previous ones, Arkham Knight is a game in itself. I really can't find anything negative to say about this game. Masterpiece.

A platformer even for those who never ever play platformer games. The game's lighting and ambience alone make it a piece of art. It may be short but maybe it's just as long as it has to be. Definitely worth trying out even if you've never played a similar game before.

Everybody know why you'll buy this game. I just want to add that compared to other games of the same genre, Mirror is actually full of perfectly drawn artwork instead of just triangular shaped body parts.

Oh there's a candy crush type minigame too.
