The problems with the servers seem to be largely resolved, quicker than I expected too.

To be brief, yes this game is worth its price. It is a faithful, innovative, and worthy sequel to the first Helldivers. If you enjoy coop shooters even a little bit I'm certain you will have fun with this game.

The game looks and feels great in every respect. The difficulty ranges from walk in the park to decompress after a long day and oh good Lord in heaven above give me strength to serve democracy.

Some things that nearly turned me away from this game mentioned by some other reviewers were honestly not nearly as bad as I thought they'd be. Example: no vehicles -- they will be added in the future, they added a battlepass -- its nearly impossible to pitch a game without adding one these days but 90 percent of the battlepass is free and feels more like normal progression, also the super currency can be earned and used to purchase the premium battlepass.

I would highly recommend this game.

Honestly, Hoppoo really knocked it out of the park with this one. They threw this game in a dangerous direction and it totally paid off; making it a 3D shooter worked out in such a perfect way, I don't think anyone saw it coming.

PROS:
- I have 200 hours logged in this and let me tell you, I haven't gotten bored of the gameplay loop. Each time I play it's a new experience, with all of the items, enemies and bosses every run is a new one.

- The game feels great to play. The movement is super responsive and it feels great to shoot, especially when clearing hordes.

- Though the graphics may seem somewhat simple, upon closer inspection there is actually some pretty good material work; not to mention the graphics are very much stylized and if they don't jive with you immediately, I'm confident that it will certainly grow on you.

- The sound design pretty good and has some really cool sounds, like for example whenever a malachite elite enemy spawns. Though other than that there isn't much else to note.

- Every character in the game is super unique from one another, carrying they're own set of abilities that differ wildly; so the roster has a bit of something for everyone.

- Every map is beautifully made and designed expertly with all of their own nooks and crannies to find.

- It's super nice to see a game that's in early access that has a clear goal and roadmap. So far every update has been fantastic adding new characters, maps, enemies, and items.

- The new loader character really makes you FEEL like Spiderman.

CONS:

- Though this is to be expected there are a number of bugs especially with the AI. This is a minor point however.

- This could just be me being bad at video games, but I noticed that Wisps in particular are a bit un-fun to fight as they're small, deal reasonable damage, and rarely miss due to their attack being fired in a shotgun esc manor. The fact that they fly doesn't help.

- Some of the recent challenges are exceptionally difficult to complete, namely the Huntress and Mercenary.

Overall Risk of Rain 2 couldn't be a better sequel, with so much to give and a lot of fun to be had. I didn't say this in the pros, but the community is still very active and the developers are very much involved and are listening to what everyone has to say, it's very refreshing to see a dev team who really knows whats up and I can always trust in the decisions that they make. I can't recommend this game enough and if you're hear because a friend sent you then absolutely get it this game is fantastic with friends.

9/10 gamer moment

Honestly, it gets kind of boring pretty fast. It's definitely a game to be played with friends otherwise you'd be hard pressed to find too much entertainment with the repetitive gameplay.

This game damn near impossible on the harder difficulties but ho my god is it fun. If you have ever wanted to be a starship trooper then boy howdy is this the game for you! The game is full of super realistic and 100% accurate weapons such as: the Laser chainsaw, the jackhammer, a giant mech that's used to fight godzilla (I'm not kidding), plasma bombs, and good old fashioned laser guided multi missiles. Ant not to mention this game has the best dialog with such classic lines
such as:

-I FORGOT THE AMMO!,
-It's so dark! I can't see my hands in front of my face!
I'm used to it, they used to turn off the lights after dinner in my town..
-Why did you get married? For my wife.
- and other fantastic lines
this game is worth every penny. EDF out of 10

Risk of Rain is a very good roguelike and a solid game all around. the gameplay is pretty solid. While the graphics might seem a bit dated, it's clear that there was a lot of effort put into all of the sprites. The soundtrack to the game is fantastic and fits in perfectly with the game which really helps with the overall atmosphere. If you buy this game you will without a doubt be getting you money's worth out of this game especially now that it's only 10 bucks. With all of that being said there are a pretty large amount of bugs in the game some of which game breaking for example: there is a bug when you start up the first level and you'll just fall into oblivion which is rather unfortunate, sometimes bosses won't spawn in, and the save data in the game can be a bit weird (a friend of mine was trying to unlock the last character by beating the game 5 times and it unlocked after 14 times). With all that being said the game is great and a BIG 7/10.

I can't recommend this game enough. It managed to fill the gaping hole that games like mario sunshine and mario galaxy left in my heart, not to mention that it's cute as h*ck!

-i think people are saying that it doesn't run well on macs

this game is an EASY 10/10 for me however, I am a bit bias. In all honesty the game is more of 7 or 8/10 as there are some glaring issues but, it's still a refreshing and an extremely fun experience. If you're not a fan of collectathons then this game might not be for you, that being said exploring is incredibly fun in this game and it pulls off the whole collecting aspect really well so it's definitely worth keeping an eye on if you can't afford a switch.

I'm actually upset that it ended...

This game is absolutely fantastic the visuals and soundtrack are stunning and the gameplay itself is challenging and extremely entertaining.

pros:

- the game is challenging but fair
- the soundtrack is great
- the visuals are great
- a unique method of storytelling
- fantastic atmosphere that puts you right into the game
- solid controls
- an insane amount of secrets to be found

cons:

- sometimes it can be hard to tell if something is a platform or not
- that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ soccer mini game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ impossible
- some of the secrets are near impossible to find
- I ran into a few bugs but nothing too serious
- the end boss was a bit underwhelming

with all that being said I would definitely recommend this game if you're looking for a challenge. 8/10
