I completed my first play-through, and thought, Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader is an excellent entry in the 40K setting. I don't think it holds the same appeal as say Baldur's Gate to RPG fans because it is a slightly broken system. I think it plays more like pathfinder, and considering Owlcat Games' experience with that series, they were the perfect choice to make a robust Rogue Trader game.

I broke the action economy, and by the end of act 2, fights did not progress to turn 3. There were some twists in the story that scaled up difficulty, but I think act 1 is the strongest of the game, followed by 2. If you feel overwhelmed in act 3 and stop, you will have played a good game and gotten your money's worth. I recently purchased the season pass, and I am beginning a 2nd run to explore new content. I may update my review when I finish my next campaign. Have faith.
