An exceptional video game and a definition of what a AAA game should be. Incredible performance, combined with intriguing gameplay in which you can immerse yourself hours upon end.

Sure, it was not up to snuff when it released back in 2020, there is no arguing it. But after 4 years (at the time of writing) of patches, and a DLC, this game has become one-of-a-kind experience. 100% recommended

From its inception it was widely known to be complicated with its convoluted UI, hard-to-understand game mechanics and ASCII 'graphics'.

This version of the game improves on all of that (plus Steam Workshop support!). A definitive way to play Dwarf Fortress if you ever wanted to try it, but were too intimidated by its complexity.

The developers of this game deserve all your support, with a price point being relatively reasonable for what you get. It is sure to give you many interesting and weird stories to tell your friends, and keep you playing for a long time to come.
