A remarkably faithful rendition of FFG's Rogue Trader pen and paper game's Koronus Expanse, this game nails the setting and tone of the 40k universe.

The rules are a reasonable evolution of the RPG and the combat system has a lot of options. I could actually use more of the game's space combat.

The colony management system manages to be fun without being a burden.

Entirely worth it for the writing, tone, and plot twists.

There seems to be a lot of unwarranted "player" grumpiness, publisher ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, and game pass weirdness around this one.

It's like X-Com, but 40k. It has decent design, looks good, performs well enough once tuned. Not only a good 40k game, but a decent game on its own.

This is definitely a qualified buy.

If you're into the 40k setting and are willing to pick up a lot of DLC, this is worth a look.

There's a tonne of stuff to be had for this game and it puts off a soothing, turn-based strategy vibe.
