Very unique, hopefully they release a updated rechargeable version.

And with possible knob change out so you can ether choose touch or knob.

Touch was ok but I would prefer knob for most games.
A laptop touchpad and keyboard was faster and more accurate, while controller was for more layed back gaming.

Still worth having in a arsenal of controllers.
I used it mostly for non competitive type games, Xbox controller was my main controller, and PS4 controller was annoying at times but once setup it worked nicely.

Steam controller just always worked even for games that didn't have controller support.


If you still want to snag one head to eBay for some cheap used one or some decent prices unused ones.

(I HAVE BEAT THE GAME, YOU CAN CHECK ACHIEVEMENTS TO DOUBLE CHECK) also beat it on hard.

This is truly a return to half life. It is also a great game.
there are issues with it currently but, it will probably be patched soon.
one of the issues is no looking side to side slowly, it teleports..
Game starts to bug out and stutter, but thats fixed by reloading a save.

I didn't like the teleport jumping, i would of prefered a smooth jump
same for teleporting down a ladder, i want to climb down it. like i climbed up it
But i be that will probably be patched in later.
Until the bugs are worked out i give the game a 8/10.


As for bonuses for index.
the csgo pin was something else everyone could get a look alike to.
the music kit was unique and was way better. valve could of given a full set of genuine pins, and that would of made things ok. still gloves and characters were expected by most.

The steam VR environments were amazing, pretty good for display, no issues there.

The alyx in game alternate gun skins, unless they automatically add them, i coulden't tell i had them. didn't see a ingame option to switch them.


Still i give half life alyx a 8/10, i will play once more later once the game is patched, and update my review.
