The Enhanced Edition is a tiny bit worse than the original but at least they added another rogue to replace Yoshimo when he reveals that he's been playing for the other team all along.
This is one of the gems of the previous generation of RPGs and it still is, what more can I say?

Not quite as enjoyable a grind as Monster Hunter: World, but it lasts longer.
Mine for money, buy the biggest ships, get dominated by anyone who's spent more time on engineering and knows what they're doing.
10/10 Would buy again.

I've wanted to play this game ever since I saw it as a console exclusive when it was first released.
However, since it was a console exclusive I didn't pay it much attention after that point, but since it's now out on PC I'll just say a few words.

Pros:

-A silly world filled with stuff to do.

-Character customization options and a fully fleshed out clothing system, although not as comprehensive as Saints Row.

-A base defense mission system that some people say might have influenced a certain other game, which is now known for an entirely different style of play.

-Tons of references to pop culture in general and videogame tropes in particular.

-Made by Insomniac, and it shows.

-A slew of crazy weapons, although I would recommend upgrading the two "conventional" ones, as they are extremely effective against one of the enemy factions, and everyone seems to forget about them.

-Silky smooth 60 FPS, on my machine at least. Which makes it better than the original version.

-Inventive alternate movement system that I haven't seen in any other game.

-Amazing music.

Cons:

-No multiplayer (I don't care about this at all, but it's something that was removed so others might.)

-A PC port of an older game (Again, I don't care but some people might.)

-If you don't like pop culture references you will hate this game.

-Does not play nice with some antivirus software, if the game fails to start, try adding it to your virus exceptions list and that should solve the problem.

-Mouse controls are not working as intended, but since this game was designed for gamepads in the first place (Console exclusive) that's not really surprising, and I hear they're working on it.

"Konsole gaem! Konsole gaem! The mouse controls don't work because it's a Konsole gaem!" =p

I haven't put as many hours into this game as it deserves but from what I've seen it delivers everything you could want from a 4x game.

This game is like awesome sauce covered perfection. If I had any complaints it would be that you're still not able to pick someone off the ground with magic and just rip him to shreds, but you can get his blood to attack him from the inside, so that's pretty cool...

The story is epic, the background and current information you find about the world is collected in your codex, almost like an actual knowledge collection quest, and can be accessed at (almost) any time.

The characters are all likeable in their own way, and each have a large amount of lines they can share with others in your group, bringing back the party banter from other Bioware games.

This game is awesome, you need mods to get the most out of it but with some mods this game is pretty much perfect.

The game on steam with the worst community of all. I can say this with confidence since this genre (Which shall remain safely unnamed) creates bad community members like flies from a bloated corpse.

Still fun to play though, supposedly.

This game is a buggy mess, if you lose a battle under certain conditions, the resource meter actually ticks negative PAST 0 and defaults to the maximum value, giving you a ludicrous amount of cash. Some times your brainbot that you just landed on a planet right next to your standard air defense drone starts digging while you're in buy mode (Which is fine since you told it to do that) and then randomly EXPLODES for no reason, resulting in instant death.

And let's not even talk of how precise the AI is with tagging rockets with grenades.

It's a buggy erratic mess, but it's still fun.

And I suppose it will take another ten years to get all the bugs out. If you can deal with the fact that this game has more bugs than Liero despite probably having a bigger budget, then sure I recommend it.

Otherwise go get Liero for free, and blow up some worms.

As good as the old ones.

(I just had to say that, guaranteed to piss someone off. =p )
