not even worth 3.5 dollars i paid on sale.

what an abomination of a game but i guess what is offered justified the 3.5 dollars. But in reality, the way the game is setup is not really worth a single second of my life, only checking it out because I paid for the game. I heard the second game is better; I will be the judge of that.

all these old outdated games just not really worth a look at all in 2024. Just watch the cutscenes on youtube.

The video settings doesn't save at all.

The graphics artists are great made the game look good i guess based on the brand.

Kickstarted trash. Garbage story missions in this game just to artificially pad the gaming time.

Atrocious Small font and primitive UI interaction, if you dont buy games without proper ui scaling support, you can stop reading and forget about buying this game now. This game also features idiotic camera moving all over the place special design. If you allow free camera movement, the auto moving works against the idea of free camera movement.

a turn based alternative of battletech game. most missions are trial and error with retarded phases unless you have played it and know where to place your units beforehand, pretty much a waste of time on top of a tedious slow gameplay design on a slow trashy unity engine.

It is apparent after playing a bit of this game, action based is just so much better at least for me.

Turn based implementation in this particular game is just too slow and play like a chess game but with unbalanced scenarios like mechwarrior 5. At least in Mech 5 you can maneuver through a difficult situation with your own action. This game however, you are playing chess so you are stuck once you placed your pawns. It is simply unfun to play an unbalanced chess game unless your are hardcore i suppose.

Enjoy getting shot with missiles going right through terrain such as mountain. Why bother create uneven terrain when your game engine cannot even handle it, pathetic!

I can now see why the dlcs reviews also suck. And the fact you need to mod it to make it somewhat playable. Modders better than game designers. You might as well not release the game until you work with modders to complete the game properly.

And Unity engine sucks.

The battle system is still very much the same as previous two games, pretty bad.

The start of final chapter is what's wrong with linear game design. But It is probably due to outdated PS3 game console.

Good game to introduce Falcom's Legend of Heroes story telling game design.

All in all, you are playing a game originally released in 2004. This is a no voiceover all reading kind of experience.

A survival colony management game with tower defence built in.

You can use a couple or just one mod to reduce the tower defence gameplay if you dont like that type of experience.

The build option is quite extensive if you can find the game cheap. You can build small town with ranching, farming and modded fishing/aquatic food

The game dev worked on a few QoL mods that are pretty much necessary to improved the shortcoming of the sold package/dlc.

There are 4 scenarios to choose from.

You will need to micromanage when things go bad or require attention. As games of this type tend to fail on its priority system with the basic dumb ai built in.

space travel sounds good, but in reality the gameplay implemented by dev is half-azzed attempt at best

The artistic presentation is just as good with more glow
The combat is much improved.

The rest is pretty much similar to the first game and not really good gameplay as a package.

The few encounters of boss fights make the game more memorable.
But the final boss is terrible. I get they want you to use all skills you unlocked by then, but that takes away player choice and some might not be able to finish if they dont know what they are doing.

Still the same final thoughts, go make anime instead of games.
Your games are simply not fun as sections are designed to force the user to acquire new abilities.

Dont know how to say this, but Elden Ring / Dark souls did this the proper way, necessary gate locks are naturally unlocked as you beat bosses etc.
This game force you to look everywhere until you unlock the required ability in order to proceed with the main path.
You should only gate lock optional stuff which would be a much better mentality for player to go through you game.

And crappy ending.

cant wait to start playing Hollow Knights now that I finally rushed through these two inferior 2d games first from my backlog.

good art, terrible game play. Garbage platforming game requires patience rather than skill.

If you are thinking of buying and playing this before the 2nd game for completeness, DONT.

The only thing carried over is the ending. the gameplay does not. you still start as crippled ori with no skills unlocked in the second game.

It's like they know the first game sucked so they kind of made 2nd game like a remastered copy.

absolutely not worth it for the content you get and the price you pay
