FALLOUT 4 a senses shattering! blood soaked pulse pounding! violent world of science fiction, horror b-movie insanity the likes which has never been seen in a video game before!

Behold before thee all which makes me adore this surreal work-

How well hidden everything in the world is. I still have not discovered where the institute is or gotten involved with any of its quest with seven hundred hours of gameplay. Fallout 4 really is a world of mysteries.

Sneaking mechanics and atmosphere where the characters will start whispering to each other and acting all sneaky bringing out the stealthy nature of the situation.

The influence of companions when i do something they like or dislike motivating me to improve on certain actions and not do others.

The elaborate electrical system when setting up power to a area. Its plenty of fun trying to figure out what does what and how to best connect everything for a smooth electrical flow and visual appeal.

When i first saw Piper praying i thought it was pretty touching. It gives her a sense of humanity as a being capable of having faith whatever that may be.

The antenna towers i come across on my travels that can be powered up where new radio transmissions are then available. Its sad and haunting to hear a message from two hundred years ago by a husband begging for his wife to come back as he takes care of their sons in a underground bunker.

Survival Mode is brutal. Your main weapon to stay alive will be patience, observation and taking a nap whenever you find a place to rest in hostile surroundings this way when you die it wont be as frustrating when it comes to doing stuff over.

On companions i always stick with Piper because of her personality but have found out she can hold her own especially in melee combat where many is the time she has done some fancy foot work making a raider fall off a building roof to their death. She is lethal with a shotgun and i make sure to upgrade one before giving it to her.

Perks i just go with whatever is giving me positive results or seems to make sense. So if i just leveled up doing something good for some people i will put a perk point on charisma instead of thinking, ' Oh i better put this perk in a combat skill because am playing survival mode'. Feels more natural this way to me playing it out in a cause and effect manner.

I carry around plenty of purified water which really helps when taking stimpaks and meds to keep the thirst away.

I love power armor but balance its use as i enjoy fighting out of power armor as well. I should use it more often in Survival Mode since it can really turn the tide of battle just enough to make a difference.

The game mechanics with the limited energy of the fusion core, the death from above damage output, the hud, the animation entering and exiting, jump jets, walking speed and sense of weight, health readings etc etc all make using power armor a futuristic joy.

The honey dripping euphoria inducing voice of Magnolia singing songs of pure bliss and rough times voiced by the always professional and very likable Lynda Carter. Nothing like listening to her sing Good Neighbor to get my straight :)

Radiation storms. Their unearthly glow and the sound of their approach is like some ghostly storm traveling from the past in time to the present where emanations of those who died when the bombs dropped echo across the commonwealth with a burning radiation kiss.

Crafting weapons and armor. It feels so great to be upgrading a weapon or armor piece with something i really like only to find out am short some supplies to make it so and thus starts the adventure of a sense of purpose to earn those mod upgrades.

Not having to open every container to see what is inside of it and instead just pass my mouse over it. Makes for a excellent quality of life effect and uninterrupted game flow.

Finding loot on animals which is related to the animal i killed like blood probicisis on bugs, molerat hide on molerats, mirelurk meat on mirelurks etc.

Animals hunting animals! Supermutants shooting and disemboweling raiders! Scavengers that dont always shoot on sight. Intelligent raiders who are not kill crazy and will allow you turn around and get out of dodge. Children who act like children and hangout in children places like schools.

Having one's own place to buy and call home or to set up shop in Sanctuary in the players original two hundred year old home.

The heartless brutal nature of the world alongside moments of great compassion and romanticism. Ah those love starved eyes of the wolf huntress Piper.

Having everything that is laying about in the world serve a purpose and the player discovering their uses over time through many ways such as leveling up, perks etc.

Being able to upgrade power armor in countless ways.

Creatures from their animations to their models they look very alive and menacing appearing as dangerous as they are. Its a real thrill of terror to see a Mirelurk Queen rise from the depths like Godzilla and know if i dont get out of there am as good as dead. All the different forms of robots also look science fiction stunning especially their damage models as they take hit after hit with the damage seen in all its sparkling dangling wiring and fallen armor plating glory. Oh and those creepy crawly roaches like something out of the movie Damnation Alley but a million times more gross. Then there are the fiendish ghouls with their fluid nightmarish movements where suddenly they are upon one like rats on cheese.

The density of the environment so much like a real city where a turn into a corner can take one from a residential block to a business center at the blink of an eye while feeling consistent never breaking the cohesion of the illusion of traveling in the bombed out ruins of the Commonwealth. Also the humongous size of many buildings that one can actually explore from the outside and inside. City towers and industrial areas never looked so good which brings me to another improvement which is being able to see so much of the greatness of the Commonwealth when standing in elevated areas.

Companions. My goodness its like talking to a actual living breathing person with mountains of dialogue and unique personalities. I cant wait to see what companions will be like for Fallout 5 and The Elder Scrolls 6.

Settlement building. Talk about creating your own place to live it up in style and peaceful tranquility along with fellow npcs. This is the life!

Variety of edibles. I think its awesome the amount of food variety available along with the plant and wildlife which can be found.

Difficulty levels. They all feel very balanced and dangerous. With the addition of Survival Mode one cannot ask for anymore.

FALLOUT 4, BUY IT! PLAY IT! Answer the call of another world beckoning you to ultimate adventure!
