It's arguably one of the greatest games ever made. The emergent behavior in the game is what makes it amazing, able to spin countless tales of adventure, glory, and utter, crushing defeat. I admit I was skeptical of a visual tileset, but along with some of the UI tweaks, I've grown to love this version of the game.

First person Artemis Spaceship Bridge Simulator with boarding, away missions, progression, and an evolving galaxy. There are multiple campaigns and a wide variety of both space and planetary encounters. An excellent co-op game.

Into the Breach + Slay the Spire
If you've played either of those, you pretty much know how you'll feel about this game. It's got deck building, it's got roguelite elements, and it's got a grid you can push enemies around on to make them attack each other. It's still early for this game, but it is absolutely in a fun, playable state and content updates have been steadily rolling out. The main game is challenging but not arbitrarily difficult, and daily play is quite competitive.

Update: After being out for a while, the game is very good. There's a lot of content and the gameplay is still great. I'm still enjoying the gameplay, but after all the hours I've put in, I'm itching for an update.

The new mechanic is well implemented and a fun addition to the Portal puzzle toolbox. If you're a veteran of Portal 2 and have played some community maps, this mod is a must-play.

After all this time, something that lives up to the Half-Life series has come. It's as great as everyone says it is. despite occurring before Half-Life 2, it illuminates some of the events of HL2:E2 while adding onto the universe in new and interesting ways, showing the buildup of the Combine presence on Earth. The gunplay, puzzles, horror, and exploration elements are all wonderfully executed. If you can get your hands on any sort of headset, Alyx is all but mandatory to play.

I certainly have complaints, and we have had our fights with support, but in the end, I put so much effort into this because it's worth it. SteamVR should be like an OS, as transparent as possible with little direct interaction. But when you do have to use it, such as to view the 2D desktop in VR, it performs just fine.

Few games have such a deep RPG system, well written character dialog, and regular moments that make me laugh out loud. The system of learning thoughts and internalizing ideologies is fun to play with, a testament to how well all the elements mesh together, from setting to conflict resolution mechanics. The struggle of the world, the plot, and the different aspects of your mind are all incredibly entertaining. If you're at all interested in any of the above, I highly recommend this game. It can be played many different ways, and I anticipate playing through it at least twice.

This is pretty much a mandatory game for VR. I never really played or liked rhythm games like DDR or Guitar Hero, but for some reason, this hits the spot. I've enjoyed it so much for countless hours. Then I tried mods. A whole new world of incredible exploration opened up before me. The basic songs are fine, but the community has done so much more, from just a better variety of music and mapping, to amazing things like choreographing the sword fight in Princess Bride.

I can't really think of a good reason not to play this. Give it a try!

I cannot recommend this enough. Shadow of the Colossus mixed with Windlands/Spider-Man, with Tribes frictionless skating all in one super expansive game. The sense of scale, speed, and control is amazing. This is what VR was made for, to soar, ski, and drift around an incredible world doing amazing things. It feels great.

Of course, if you do get motion sickness, watch a few videos first. This may not be for you. Whipping around spikes in underground tunnels at 400 km/h is loads of fun, but only if you can stomach it. And I love the thrill of being way up high, but it is pretty intense to dangle off the edge of a cliff with just one rope keeping you from falling a km, or jet around shooting a drone with only the drone itself to land on.

If any of the above elements appeal to you, get this game now.
