Played the game for a week now, and I do like it.
It's a typical Bethesda game, with it's typical good and bad stuff.

The fact that this game is in space, makes many people compare this game with NMS. But it is nothing like NMS.
While playing this game, I saw SO many similarities between Skyrim and Starfield.
The depth of some choices and how you have personal talks with companions, made me even think of Mass Effect 2 and 3.
And the funny dialogue options cracked me up occasionally as well.

There really only is one thing wrong with it though... and its a big one.
Remember the UI in skyrim? Do yourself a favor and download a UI overhaul mod.
Bethesda should really hire some new people, because the current UI sucks big time.

TL;DR: It's Skyrim x Mass Effect 3. But install a UI overhaul mod and the game is quite enjoyable.

I've had a lot of fun times with this title. I love to collect stuff in games, and this game ticks that box big time. So warning: if that's not your thing, this game is not for you.

But besides that: The combat, the way it plays... Portkey Games did a good job at that.
The story is quite OK, and i particularly liked all three side quest-lines.

Now... what I liked less is the fact that this game is poorly optimized. I've had my fair share of crashes in this game, but fought my way through them to 100% this game.
I don't mind an occasional crash in a game, but my main save is 80+ hrs, and upon checking my Hogwarts Legacy appdata folder, I had 28 crashes on that save. That is not ok, it's a crash every 2.5 hrs.
I researched this problem and found that a lot of people are having issues with this game. My particular problem makes me doubt if it's my hardware, or 'just' a memory leak issue.
Be warned!

Can I recommend this? Yes.
But I hope this game gets a patch or two, and doesn't become abandoned by the devs.

Nice chill survival game with a pretty style.

What I especially like is that you are not tied to the story, you can pick the story up again at any point.
Not to much bugs either.

How fast I would pay money to see some of the concepts in this art-book come to life, you can't imagine.

I'm really hoping that the devs will expand on this game.
Seeing that Blackbird does call it a franchise... it just wets my appetite.

Definitely worth the 5 bucks.

I've completed this game, and I loved every minute of it.

At first, the game felt a bit weird... I had to get used to the voice acting, the animation.
The story is not very strong, or historically accurate - which is to be expected from a cartoon style game.

But the gameplay is.... perfectly balanced if you ask me.
Combat feels good, the puzzles are fun, and you have a LOT to explore.
It took me 100+ hours for base game + 3 DLC's to complete, that speaks for itself ;)

So....
Is it worth it? Absolutely!
For normal store price? Well, you're getting a lot of content,.. So also yes.

This game is like heroin for me.
Addictive as ♥♥♥♥ and fun while it lasts.
Really catchy soundtrack too. Good vibes.

Since this game being in EA, i didn't have much expectations.
But i've been playing 30+ hours now, and i'm pleasantly surprised.
Haven't really encountered any bugs yet, and it contains surprisingly much content for a EA game.

The gameplay itself is really nice. The game is not really challenging, but i like that.
Your character has a gradual growth if you upgrade gear whenever you can,
and the game feels really balanced already.

If you want a game that is easy on the mind (e.a. for a brainless gaming session),
and you like exploring, surviving and crafting... then this game is for you.

One tip though: I recommend enabling the running toggle in game options.
My pinky kind of hurt after the first few hours ;)

I have nothing but utter respect for this developer,
and i bought this game on a whim.
of course also for the game, but most of all for the dev.

When someone has learned himself how to program a game and build it in 7 yrs,
gets nominated for a bafta award AND makes overtime to read comments and makes changes based on those (negative) comments, man... RESPECT.

So Thomas, shut up and take my money.

This is a really fun game to play with friends.
Great game, and good balance... at least, in the beginning.

As soon as you get your first promotion, the game becomes quite grind-heavy. Trying to get the Legendary Team achievement is BY FAR the most time consuming achievement I've seen so far.


I still do recommend it, because the gameplay is still fun, if you come back to it every once in a while.
