- this game has been in early access since release (2015) (only took 10 years to get to a 1.0 build!! good job guys!!)

- the lead dev (who was also the fella behind gmod tower) considers this to be his life's work, and is very hostile towards anything that he disagrees with. he is also very vigilant about suppressing criticism towards his life's work (probably a pride/ego thing tbh), and very much reminds me of YandereDev. he also DMCA'd several GMT revival projects, the vast majority of which were non-profit and simply existed to give the old community somewhere to hang out that wasn't TU.

- the average tower unite player, if placed on a political line between insane ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ communist leftie and actual nazi, is (very unsurprisingly) almost always an insane ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ communist leftie. any political opinion even slightly towards the center is considered to be incorrect and will get you ostracized. this is because moderation has largely been left to the community, and resulted in a huge scandal in which several long-time members of the community were permabanned for seemingly no reason.

- the "moderators" are all pissy manchildren who will try to get you muted for the most minor of infractions. i've been muted twice, once for telling turkish people to stop speaking turkish in global chat (which they weren't supposed to be doing anyways) and another time for making fun of libertarians.

- half of the game either doesn't work or is poorly coded. join any server with more than 10 people? 40 fps at BEST. this is because of the fact that the game servers are basically checking every single player's status every single tick. the addition of workshop content made this problem even worse, forcing you to either disable workshop models entirely or wait for ALL of them to load off of steam's end. also, the netcode is horrible and makes most games (single and multiplayer) insanely frustrating to play.

- the lighting for this game is terrible (probably because it's on UE4 lmfao) and light will pass through just about everything placed within a condo.

- there is no content to keep you engaged (unless you REALLY like building) that isn't either a super long, tedious grind, or a generic minigame that's been done better by 20 other games.

- this game has a constant ~200 playercount (sometimes higher) and only really spikes every 1-2 years. for a game that's really only held up by the social aspect, there sure isn't a lot of socializing outside of a few groups of internet weirdos.

- the community is very tight-knit and everybody knows each other and their dirty little secrets. if i had a dollar for every actual pedophile who actively played this game i would probably have 50 dollars.

- the entire condo system in which this game is built upon is reduced to two things: insane autism fantasy (because the owner doesn't know how to do interior decor/doesn't care to not make it look gaudy) and porn. it feels as though every single condo listed is just a front for people to look at porn with each other, and you will notice that if you don't put "18+" into the title of your condo, you will get little interaction from the community. this is because they are all degenerate coomers and just want to look at each others porn collections. i have probably seen 4-5 condos that i actually really enjoyed (creative, artistic, funny, etc.) and the rest have been crazy autism fantasies and/or porn. you'll notice by my playtime (339h as of writing) that this is not a good ratio of regular, normal people to porn addict weirdo internet losers.

dont give the developer(s) any more money tbh, they tried crowdfunding *successfully, mind you* after gmod tower got shut down, raised $73,648 (on indiegogo alone, they've made more in game sales) and then under-delivered severely (if you look at the funding milestones on indiegogo, at least half of the features promised are still unimplemented or WIP) ((crowdfunding began in 2015, the same year that the private alpha was released.))
