TL;DR Guns are good, story is great, the game is a 9/10, let's celebrate! Oh, did I miss the party? Well the game is good anyway.

A bit late for a review of an old game. It is still a good one.

BJ Blazkowicz is still fighting the good fight against Nazi scum. However the war looks to be lost as the Nazis have advanced technology somehow. The U.S. makes a final push against the villain of the current game Deathshead. A returning villain from past games. BJ and the crew get caught off guard and lose the battle then the war.

After a near death experience, BJ wakes up to a world of Nazis where nothing is the same. After coming back from being in a vegitative state with shrapnel in his brain. He kills a Nazi. The big southern chunk head continues his killing spree until he finds a resistance to join. Getting new guns and other weapons of Nazi killing destruction along the way.

The game feels like a true blue modern version of old first person shooters (with a hint of modern). The player is able to hold more than two weapons. As well as more than two of each one, double the pleasure, double the fun. Duel weild shot guns, assult rifles, bolt action rifles, pistols and knives. Health packs make a triumphant return (along with other games before this). However to make up for the annoying 1 health left problem some gamers encounter, health regenerates in intervals of 20. Giving somewhat of an edge on the battle. Overall the experience is a well polished game especially for newer computers. Framerates can differ for computers but I had a full 60 frames per second (or greater than) playthrough.

I beat the game several times enough to get all the achievements. Playing on Über difficulty (it unlocks after the game is beaten once) gives you 999 health and all the Nazi... still felt the same. Only the weapons do more damage. There is no multiplayer and I could not be anymore happy for this fact. It feels great not having to worry about online achievements or the game feeling castrated to make room for online features.

The game is well written for 95% of the game, it had good drama and good comedy moments throughout. However one moment in the game:

Spoiler:
It happens in the end where BJ finally is about to finish the main antagonist. A roughly 100 year old man, grabs BJ by the wrist, a 50ish year old muscular chunk head, Deathshead pulls out a grenade, arm extended, barely holding on to it. BJ does absolutely nothing. He doesn't stab Deathshead in the... head, grab the grenade and throw it away. He just stands there like a punk ♥♥♥♥♥. What the hell BJ? Then there was this was supposed to be a sad moment where a dying BJ was sacrificing himself so that others can get away. I just found how BJ sacrifices himself to be pretty stupid. If the player falls down to his death in some pit, BJ monologues "Stupid way to die". THIS. THIS was a stupid way to die BJ.

Other than that part, the rest of the game feels worth it. As some say, 'it's not about the destination, it was about the journey'. The journey was painted with the blood of Nazi scum. I give this game a high 9/10. I can't give it a point for the one moment in the game. If it was not for that one part, this would be a 10/10.
