Don't get me wrong;
Jacket is my main on Payday 2 and I'm a massive Hotline Miami 1 & 2 fan, but this character pack just isn't it.

You really had a chance to do something great with this pack, and as of the time of writing this, you squandered it.

Please revamp the voice lines ENTIRELY and make them way closer to the way they were in Payday 2. I really don't like the male (British/Renaissance?) voice actor in this one. And I get it -- "he is just taking clips from media and using it in his tape recorder" thing, but it still just isn't the Jacket I know and love, and I don't see myself enjoying him in his current state. The male (Spanish/German/Italian/French, etc.) voice(s) in Payday 2 was/were MUCH better. The female voice (I know the female voice had some lines in other languages too in PD2) is fine for the most part, but some line re-recordings are in order, regardless. Overall, the lines just feel...unnatural I guess? Like they weren't natural per-se in Payday 2, but they at least felt smoother and more satisfying to constantly hear. I don't know if it has to do with the way voices work in the base game, but it still just feels really wrong.

Reading some of the reviews that are already posted here on steam as well, it looks like some of them like the new voice lines, which I can totally respect and I'm not trying to trash on them at all, but I've spoken with people in-game who I am not friends with who also dislike the new voice lines just as much as me. So really, it's looking like a mixed bag.

What I DO like is that some of the lines directly from Payday 2 were brought over like calling Dallas "Texas", and I do like hearing Jacket call Hoxton "British". That is the kind of stuff I love to hear, so big props there.

Also, unless I'm missing something, the weapon in this pack is hot garbage (comments are turned on so someone can possibly tell me how to make this gun good?). I don't like that you picked a Micro Uzi instead of a Mac 11 as well. Super odd choice, and to me personally, it's not a welcome one.

The bat is a cool feature, though. Nothing bad to say about that.

I just expected better and something closer to how it was in Payday 2. Not a direct copy of course, but something that was familiar in a sense considering I've played him for hundreds of hours. This didn't give me that same feeling I had playing as him in 2 for so long.

And for those reasons;

I'm out.

I know it's been said multiple times in other reviews, but this game scratched that itch that Payday 3 failed to do.

Sure, heists can absolutely get repetitive, but it's still a great time nonetheless.
Love the roguelite aspect of it and the multiplayer/coop is a great time with friends. The stealth also feels way more forgiving and enjoyable than Payday ever was giving us. I'm one who only goes loud in Payday since I despise stealth, but this game actually made it fun, especially since you can have your AI teammates help out.

Solid 7.5/10 game all in all and I really hope more content gets made for it. It deserves more support and players.

Worst game on steam hands down, get better administration that doesn't rage when they get killed by a noob

EDIT: Ban was lifted. I am still leaving this negative review for the fact that false game bans like this ruins peoples reputations in communities, and gives thought that the person is lying, even in my case, which I was not. (anyone asking about the vac ban I have on file, which is invisible to those who dont have Steam inv manager, was from MW2, the original MW2, 12 years ago, when I was a child) I have no actual way of guaranteeing that it was admin based, but that was the only conceivable conclusion I came to given I played for 36 minutes only, and killed people that were kitted, to then soon after get a ban.

Devs; If you're going to put in an anti-cheat, make sure it actually works before implementation. The reason provided (which you can see in the comments) was "It looks like there was some kind of technical problem and when one of the cheats was detected, non-cheaters were banned as well", basically meaning SOMEONE in my game was cheating, and EVERYONE was punished because of it, instead of JUST the cheater. Sure, I was going to refund anyways, but the fact still remains. Fix the implementation so nobody ever has to go through what me and many other are going through currently.

I'm not part of the normal crowd of people complaining about EAC, I just think the game sucks.

For people possibly looking for a simple explanation;
Yes this is a cosmetic year pass. This does not make anything pay 2 win at all.

This is simply a way to support the developers and show there are still dedicated fans who love this game and want to watch it thrive.

If this was a donation purchase with no given content whatsoever, I'd still buy it because I genuinely love this game.

I won't go too in depth on this specifically and I'm going to keep this simple.

I've never had a game captivate me so much and kept me playing it every day until 4AM like this game has. This game (while it does obviously have some glitches here and there) is a flawless game overall. The story was great, the gameplay was amazing, and the riding is something other games should take notes for.

This is the first game I will ever give a 10/10 to. I loved every single second I put into it, and I'll definitely be going back for New Game+. Highly recommended. Support the Developers.

Another great set of Cosmetics as a whole! Every single time that they release something new I'm always going to buy it and use bits and pieces of an outfit to mix and match into other things to make an entirely unique look.

Another thing I want to make extremely clear as for the people who didn't like the prior cosmetics, you can take these great words of advice;

If you don't like it, don't buy it. Nobody is forcing you to buy them to continue playing. You all get free updates, new guns, and new operations for free. Let them release some cool looking cosmetics that are for the people who want to support the devs so they can keep updating the game for free. Plain as that.

If the devs even read this, please consider adding some new gloves like Mechanix Agilite Edition to the cosmetic roster. It'll fit the realism factor, and add something fairly simple that a lot of people would most likely use.

Mick Gordon did another amazing job with the music.
