It's just sokoban. A million damned push-the-block puzzles.

The combat is sloppy, the hitboxes are awful, there are no interesting abilities. I gave it a go, and I really wanted to like it, but it just made me want to play Link's Awakening again. I guess the lack of polish is why they felt they had to tack on a dating sim.

Apart from the MG, it's Q3A perfected. Loads of maps and gamemodes, and it runs perfectly on modern systems - No fiddling with patches or third party engines required.

Very good Advance Wars clone! Exactly what it sets out to be, but with coop and versus and custom mapping on top!

The campaign "story" is very mediocre, but it doesn't matter much.

Excellent music and really nice graphics for the time, but apart from that this is everything wrong with MMOs packed into one bundle. IMC even ruined the progression, by giving all characters starting gear which is insanely powerful compared to anything you can find. There are thousands of items in the game, and now ALL are completely useless.
And after all these years, the """English""" in this game still looks like it's been run through google translate. You'd think they could have hired a single proofreader.

Early Access Review
The game has pretty high production value. It's just not very fun.
The colour-switching mechanic grows old FAST, and is really just annoying rather than interesting.

The bosses are also much harder than anything you face between them, which makes it feel very imbalanced. The level of polish is also not anywhere near that of the real Castlevanias, of course, but that's to be expected.

The "story" (if you can call it that) is just garbage and the music is generic and grating.
The visuals are great, the movement and mechanics are solid, but all in all, the game is just not fun to play in my opinion.

Pretty disappointed, since I had great hopes for this.

This is simply amazing.
Extremely easy to operate, and very versatile. You can play pretty much any boardgame you want and setting up a multiplayer server is the easiest thing in the world. You can copy any object (complete with scripts and functionality) from any game and import it to a different game.
If you have a mod/game installed, all players who join you online will instantly have access to all the assets they need.
You can even play MTG with this, complete with ALL the cards from ALL the sets. If you use the mod "Scryfall" you can simply type in the name of a card you want to spawn it, or a URL link to deckstats or other deckbuiliding sites for an entire deck. There are also mods for creating booster packs for easy draft games.

This is so good. Everyone should have this. It doesn't matter who you are; You WILL find something here to play with your friends.
Uno, Cards Against Humanity, Catan, Carcassonne, Mini-Golf, Gloomhaven, D&D, etc., etc. - It's all here!

The combat is not great, but everything else is. Very pleasantly surprised by how much detail is put into everything. It really does feel like you're exploring a huge spaceship, because you can exit it and float around in space outside, enter in through other doors etc., and everything is interconnected. The exploration, in general, is also excellent. You can climb up to seemingly unreachable places by shooting blobs of goo and using those as jumping platforms and there's lots of secrets and verticality everywhere.

The enemies are all bullet sponges and the resources (such as bullets) are rather scarce, so I guess you're meant to be more stealthy and just avoid everything, but that's not really possible until you unlock some abilities (such as the scanner, allowing you to see hidden enemies). I don't mind the enemies being strong, but I really wish they died quicker.
I haven't finished it yet, but the story is pretty nice and mysterious so far.

A lot of people compare this game to Bioshock and System Shock, but I feel it's more similar to Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (except you can't use stealth to defeat enemies - you either avoid them or fight hard).

Also, for some stupid reason you're only allowed to make 20 saves. If you have 20, you have to delete one to make a new save, and that's pretty annoying for a game that encourages savescumming to such an extent.

EDIT: A much better sale RIGHT AFTER THE SUMMER SALE? Really? ♥♥♥♥ you, have a downvote.
Also, the game becomes a slow grind after a while, with huge bulletsponge enemies respawning without any of the resources respawning. The enemy design is also pretty lackluster.

Not as good as the first game. A lot of bad level design with much backtracking through mazes. Still fun. Worth 5$. (Haven't tried the MP yet)

Controller inputs can't be remapped. All the buttons on my PC controllers are in completely weird places.
This is unplayable for me. Absolutely crazy to see that there hasn't been added support for remapping controls yet, despite this being released 5 years ago.

Update: Managed to make a controller work through the third party Steam controller config options, but now the game crashes randomly. It also sometimes detects the controller's controller input, and sometimes the overridden Steam keyboard input. The startup is also very slow.
I really expected this game to be more polished.

The "singleplayer" portion of the game is also pretty lackluster. It would be a nice partygame, perhaps, except for how stupidly much effort it takes to set up even one controller.

Can't recommend Towerfall Ascension in its current state. Refunding it to buy something else.
