Ein würdiger Nachfolger zum 2016er Doom. Auch wenn er Gameplaytechnisch doch deutlich mehr ändert als man es auf den ersten Blick erwarten würde. Das Motto des Spiels lautet neben einer großen Menge an Jump'n'Run Passagen nämlich Ressourcenmanagement. Den gewohnt brachialen Soundtrack und das wuchtige Gunplay bleibt natürlich bestehen, aber der Doom Guy ist deutlich fragiler als im letzten Teil. Munition, Leben, Rüstung müssen alle gebalanced und im Kampf wieder aufgefüllt werden. Wenn man sich daran gewöhnen kann entsteht ein herrlich flüssiger und brutaler Flow aus Schießen, Finisher, Granaten und Flammenwerfer. Rip and Tear!

This game took me by suprise for sure. I expected a mindless shooter campaign, and while I got that I got way more aswell. Fighting robots is hard to pull of right. They rarely feel satisfying to fight and I normally dread having to fight robots. However this game does everything right. You can shoot single armor pieces of them, shoot of limbs and let them crawl on the ground. This game makes fighting robots really darn fun!
The story is also suprisingly good. I really didn't expect a whole lot, but the story is well done and the characters really started to grow on me by the end. Yes it was really cheesy from time to time, but it was never bad and I had fun throughout the whole campaign.

I can fully recommend this game. I was completly taken back, by how much I enjoyed my playthrough. Even the voice commands worked half decent. Though I personally would recommnd just using classic input controls for squad commands. I would also recommend a controller. The M+Kb controlls were playable, but the controller made the whole thing more enjoyable.

Gets a solid 8/10 from me

Ich hab dieses Spiel in 16 Stunden innerhalb von 1 1/2 Tagen zu 209,3% durchgespielt. Danach war ich tieftraurig es so schnell verschlungen zu haben. Doch es war schlichtweg so gut.

Grafik für mich eine absolute Augenweide, die Rätsel knackig und neu (hab seit Myst 4 nicht mehr so viele Notizzettel volgekritzelt für ein Spiel ^^), das Gameplay mit der paradoxen platten 3D Welt hat etwas von dem "Thinking with Portals denken" von Portal und zudem so schöne Welten. So abwechselungsreich, so... Muss ich noch fortfahren?

Damals als Meilenstein des Singleplayershooters tätoliert, hat es auch heute noch nichts von seinem Charm und Reiz verloren.

Ein super Spiel und ein mehr als würdiger Nachfolger!
