Metal Gear on NES was one of my favorite games and I enjoyed unepic and ghost, so I even preordered this game. So far I finished only single walkthrough on hard difficulty, so perhaps my impression of the game is not complete. The gameplay of most of the game is actually quite similar to that MetalGear, but with few tweaks, and tuned to be more stealthy. It's nice, but I wouldn't mind more shoot-n-run. And later in the game there's a lot of pieces where you have to learn the position of guards and cameras to stealth successfully, so it becomes a bit to much grindy. Again, maybe this happens only on hard difficulty. The biggest downside in terms of gameplay for me were the bosses. At least half of them felt with too much artificial difficulty, and not really exciting fights, especially if you compare them to the bosses from Unepic. And also ghost labyrinth. Seriously, ♥♥♥♥ that part. If it was some sort of sidequest, it was ok, but as a part of main story that was super annoying.

The writing and is on the same level as in unepic_fan's previous games. By this I mean that it's fun, but don't expect it to be serious and well, the word "unepic" is in his name. The game has full voice acting, which is really nice and adds a lot to the characters. The only questionable point for me was which exact crime Jesse didn't commit. But maybe that's a DLC material.

All in all it's nice game. Gameplay is not boring and varies a bit throuhgout the game, dialogues and story are nice, but... But, the game also feels a bit short. I finished hard while streaming in around 12 hours, and that's all, I mean there's no much more content. It's not that short, but I wish it was longer. Anyway, I still recommend you to buy it and support this dev, he delivers 3rd time in a row.

Typically I play adventure games with the guide wide-open on the second screen, so this review is more to praise the visual style of the game and its story than gameplay itself.

The game starts in 1914, on a verge of WW1 in the oriental express. The same, as is Christie's novel, the train is filled with people of various nationalities and background. There's plenty of interesting characters, nicely animated and voice-acted. Speaking about voice-acting, despite being from quite an old game, it's quality is of the best I've heard in a videogame. Multiple actors speaking in many languages, and as a person who understands several of those, I can say that they employ native speakers, and even more, quite nice actors.

Visual style is something unique. Actors were filmed, then turned into cartoon and recoloured again, and then most expressive frames were picked (I assume that in 1997 they couldn't make uninterrupted movie due to the technical limitations). It reminds a bit a cover-arts from GTA series, but coloured with more authentical style, reminiscent of the period of the game. In one of the reviews I've read that they tried to imitate "art nouveau", the style which was popular before WW1.

The story, the best part of this game, is well-written, complex enough and has several layers. There's mystery murder, there's spy games, there's some classical artifacts mystery, all combined together, and well embedded in a pre-war Europe's background. More than that, going back and forth the train, occasionally you eavesdrop some small-talks and conversations between characters, and it adds even more to the atmosphere.

As for the gameplay itself... It's quite ok for a 97 point-and-click, but that didn't age perfectly. There's some clunkiness in the controls and action cut scenes could use help of hotkeys. Moreover, in my 10 hours I found a couple of annoying bugs, which required rewind a part of the game back. Luckily that option exists, and I didn't have to play with the save files.

All in all, it's a nice story and I recommend to play it more for the sake of it, it's well-written and nicely executed. As for a game part, it's a 90s point-and-click, so if you're not supernostalgic don't expect much.

The collection of the classic games well done. Some people may complain about "greedy Konami", but in fact for PC gamers its a first chance to play most of these games, at least legally.

Not too much to say about the games, cause they are not just good, they are archetypical. Like first Castlevania was the source of inspiration for the half of NES platformers, or Simon's Quest was for further metroidvanias.

It's a really nice blast from the past. Games are still cute and enjoyable. Recommended at least for nostalgiah purposes.

Recent installment in Strider series is rather a metroidvania than simple platformer. And it's a damn good one. Level design is nice, varying from quazi-Soviet Kazakh city to military bases and distopian mad scientist lab. Bosses are well designed and require some effort, at least on normal difficulty, though final boss could be a bit more harder. Music is nice and adds
a lot to the atmosphere(probably it's only me, but I've heard some homage to NES Strider). Graphics is cute, but you have to take your time to adjust to it and not miss Hiryu during fights.Story is also a tribute to earlier games to the series, with couple of really nice touches.

Overall it's a really nice metroidvania, which take about 6 hours to simply complete on normal, and much more if you aim for 100% completion.

This game could be fun. But the matchmaking is done in a very bad way. Constand leavers and griefers will ruin 80% of the games.

One of the worst chess games I ever played. There's no clock, and online play can take hours. Bot is not the smartest one, even at high difficulty. There's no savegame as well. And for PvP on the same computer white has to use mouse while moving black pieces is possible only with gamepad\keyboard.

In two words: better find another chess ap.

This game is simply great.

As a single player it proposes you a long journey in Castlevania style. RPG elements and decent story is included. I don't know, probably on normal difficulties it's easy, I did my first try in HARD++ and last couple of bosses was really challenging and fun. The story is Unepic, as its said on the cover. In this case it means funny. Levels are nicely designed, as well as balance between melee and magic.

Overall it's really fun. And in addition you can do multiple quests with your friends in coop, which is also fun.

If you like new old-school platformer, this is it.

Ok, here we have cartoon-looking coop beat-em-up. It's pretty decent game. I mean it's pretty decent if you have three friends and a pack of beers. I mean for 1-2 nights. It can be beaten in 4-6 hours, but even before that I got bored. Almost all the enemies are the same in gameplay way. They're pretty and there's dozen of different zones, but in the end you use one good combo and that's all. Ok, it has a lot of unlockable pets and weapons, but they don't make any differerence.

Resuming this I recommend to buy if it's on sale and you have good company.
