Beautifully crafted rhythm game and FPS at the same time. Movement and combat is very satisfying and the music is phenomenal. My only wish is that the game was longer, and there were rewards for completing challenges.

Incredibly well designed, fast paced, action packed, and beautiful control with really fun combat. If you like megaman, shovel knight, or platformers in general, you'll love this game for sure.

This is probably one of my favorite fighting games of all time. I started with Rev 2 about around June-July from the steam Summer sale and then picked up Accent Core in August. So much fast paced fun you rarely see in other fighting games. Amazing pixel art and sick music. On top of player rooms and GGPO rollback? This makes it a fighting game you can't beat. It's always on sale too and easy to get for around $3. When the beta is finished and the final patch is released, this game will be as perfect as can possibly be. Since writing the original review I've already clocked in another 50 hours just from playing with friends, randoms online and entering brackets. I cannot recommend this game enough.

Edit: now that that the full update is released, even more features were added to make this game EVEN BETTER. For example: the "take control" feature in replays is GODLIKE and should seriously become a staple in other fighting games. It's a phenomenal way to practice countering options you experienced trouble with in your own matches. Seriously, if you have any doubts about buying this game, you won't be disappointed with the fun you'll have.

zamn the hours build up fast

Favorite anime fighter yet. Easy to learn, good tutorial, amazing music, characters, and art. Combat feels really good and satisfying even if you don't know optimal combos. Biggest drawback is on slower computers it can be hard to reach 60fps so you may need to tweak some of the .ini files (which really isn't hard just look up a guide on steam). If you've ever considered playing, I 100% recommend you do. If you can get a friend to join you it's even more fun!

this game feels very Newgrounds and it's pretty darn cool

literally one of my favorite games of all time. Best experienced with friends.
