Mouthwashing turned out to be one of the most delightfully bleak things I've played in a long time. The non-linear storyline delivery was the perfect method to deliver what ended up being a gut punch to the stomach that has sat with me for days since I completed it. Without spoiling anything, this is as much as I can say. Of course, I should have expected this from Wrong Organ, the creators of the surrealistic nightmare of an existential crisis known as How Fish Is Made - another game worth checking out if you have not already. I mean all of these terms in the most loving way possible - Mouthwashing is a thought-provoking exercise in cause and effect, the weight of one's actions, and the banality of life from behind the lens of late stage capitalism. There aren't many games I wish I could forget entirely so that I could have the experience of replaying again, but Mouthwashing certainly is one of them.
