Plenty of exploration for your first run, and plenty of sequence breaks for the second. A quite pleasant combination.

(Could've had a bit more acknowledgement of the sequence breaks, though. At least say something if I beat the final boss with zero crystals.)

Cute, but mildly janky.

I like how Letha is not just the generic save-the-world protagonist, but she's got a couple of unheroic traits (my favorite part being the master of the snow land).

On the minus side, the difficulty is all over the place (are you sure level 10 is enough for the monkey beach?), and there's a few glitchy pieces (for example, you can bring Samuel to the academy's master, causing Squalus to not fit in your team).

Would've voted neutral if I could, but.

(Also, Letha should've totally objected to the word half-breed and proposed replacing it with demi-human.)

It's RPG Maker. It's got the usual RPG Maker graphics, music, janky staircases, etc.

But there's a surprisingly powerful story behind that, and even the gameplay feels fresh - the bosses have a lot of interesting gimmicks.

It's pretty janky (the timing-related pieces are just annoying, and I found a few levels where I can take a plant to the next level), but it's pretty charming, and at this price, I have no right to complain.

The puzzles are as good as the originals - there are even a few new gameplay elements. The story starts slowly and ends a little too quickly, but it's hard to do better - once the original has concluded, there just isn't much left to build a sequel on.

I have questions about this game. I don't know which questions, but I have them.

The difficulty is way out of balance. Most of the game is easy, but some pieces (for example the speedways, and the dogs in Toasty's realm) are ridiculously difficult, with almost zero fair challenges in between.

And to make things worse, Gulp's Outlook goes from absurdly difficult to glitched and impossible; the eggs stop spawning halfway through the fight. Googling it reveals it's a well known bug, and has been since two weeks after release.

Unbalanced and broken, and nothing particularly noteworthy on the plus side. All I can do is downvote.

Neat game. It's like a mini GBC Zelda.

I won't say this game makes any sense, but I will say it's a good way to spend an evening.

It's like a puzzle game crossed with a precision platformer, where the puzzle is to find which objects are interactive when the screen is way too dark, and the platforming is more luck than precision. With some bonus immortal enemies that like to knock you down, then stand on you so you get knocked around again as soon as you stand up, and a handful of trial-and-error controls and a few jumpscares.
