I really don't get the shabang with brains.
These things have a will of their own. I'll be doing something and then think "I know I shouldn't do it so why am I", like pulling out prematurely at a roundabout. And I know why. That bastard brain wanted to do it, and it's taken over my body and went for it. Sneaky wee ♥♥♥♥.
The thing is, I know it thinks for itself. It's like when you're talking to someone. You just get this sense like
"ah yep this here is a living thinking creature". That's the feeling I get from my brain. I know you're in there, you ♥♥♥♥. How is it fair that you get to be privy to all MY thoughts, but I don't get to know anything about you, eh? I really want to talk to you. You're so cool. Human brain. All the wee bits. Frontal lobes. Basal Ganglia. Pons. Cerebrum. Cerebellum. Thalamus. Hypothalamus. Hippocampus. You're so cool yet I don't understand you, and you're just sitting up there and I am inside YOU! We share the same flesh but some things I'm more in control of and others you're more in control of. When I talk to other people I know there's a brain in there too. God, just let me talk to the brains, please.

I've been thinking lots about brains recently.
I really, really, like brains.
But thinking about them is making me a bit sad, really.

I'd quite happily trade you for my brain. It's not particularly fair, and it's been irking me for quite a bit now.
I can't find myself settled now because I'd rather go backwards. Everything feels kind of scabby and lonely, and I'd rather just go back and do the same period over and over again for 80 years rather than live 62 new ones. But that doesn't happen. WOMP WOMP
