Early Access Review
One of the most intense and engaging singleplayer FPS in years. Weapons have great impact and versatility with a slew of upgrades to unlock, while enemies are smart, aggressive and constantly get their own upgrades and buffs as the game progresses. Rounding it out is highly detailed and interactive environments for all manner of debris, smoke and explosions along with the genre standard explosive barrels and so forth. Overall a very strong balance of quality over quantity in its combat that never gets repetitive.

A kind, lovely story about learning to open up and connect with others. There's some fun and unique twists on the slice of life structure, such as the contemporary fantasy Earth and the non-human protagonist's magic that causes people to forget her. Even with a few emotional ups and downs along the way, it's a very gentle, healing read-through and just the right length.

A fantastic and compelling action RPG that really raises the scope of what an Ys game can be.

However, I would advise against supporting a publisher that has the nerve and greed to raise the price on a digital release years afterward. Some of their other titles even doubled in price.

A fantastic and oft overlooked classic 90's FPS. It features several fun and challenging new levels with overhauled visuals, sound design and haunting ambient music that give the whole package a much stronger Horror atmosphere than its predecessors.
This port runs fantastically, and even offers a good small bonus campaign. Very much worth the minuscule price, let alone when it goes on sale for pocket change.

If you started Guilty Gear with Xrd like myself, give this one a try. It goes on sale for dirt cheap often and is well worth it. There's plenty of characters and mechanics that remained exclusive to this game that are fun, challenging and very rewarding to learn. Especially being an older game, there's a ton of resources online and active veterans that can also help out.

Since first writing this review, the netcode has also been substantially reworked, now offering rollback that works amazingly well at even 100+ms. You really can't go wrong with this game.

A wonderful fantasy FPS with an intriguing setting, fun level exploration and excellent weapons. At times there's a greater lean towards finding the next objective or solution to a puzzle, but unlike even some of its inspirations, I never once grew frustrated or gave up. As things go on, the enemy encounters certainly amp up for good measure too, but you're always stocked full with several useful powerups to even the playing field.
There is only 1 episode as of this writing, but it is already jam-packed with an entire campaign's worth of time and scale from start to end. Very much worth the price.

One step forward, two steps back. There's still some fun in the core game, but almost anything new it tries to offer is half-baked, unintuitive and downright alienating.

A fantastic action RPG with an endearing, emotional story and wonderful characters. Combat can take some getting used to but offers a fun variety of options as you progress. Dungeons and puzzles are immensely creative, constantly building upon new mechanics and feel very rewarding to overcome. There's so much more potential with the game play and setting, and I cannot wait to see what else is in store. Well worth the time and price.
