Version 1.2 feels like an early access game. It's lacking some huge and very basic QOL features but it's also $2.99 so its whatever I guess

I love these types of games. I'd put the combat and style of the game somewhere with Dark Messiah/Vermintide 2. The melee combat is quite satisfying. Yes there are bugs, especially with multiplayer de-sync at times (nothing game breaking yet), yes there are imbalances. Still quite fun and can be a real journey if you're a min/maxer. Once you reach 16 (heroism unlocks), levels start to absolutely fly. Doing a solo run on Nightmare will get you a loaded inventory well before reaching the end. This should be addressed ASAP as some of the maps are huge.

This game does not hold your hand. Natural discovery is part of the experience. Strange things are placed around the maps, and I'm not sure how to get into certain areas or open some chests yet.

The community seems pretty small right now which I find unfortunate. I see the same few people hosting games daily. Tell your friends about this one! It deserves more love

Really enjoying learning the game in the early stages so far. However I am quite annoyed at how the game handles audio output. If I launch the game using bluetooth and then at some point remove the earbud, windows detects this and reverts back to headphones. Selecting the earbuds in Windows at this point does not change the output for the game. So I play without sound or restart the game. Very annoying!

There are too many negative things to even list. I could write chapters of how broken this game is from top to bottom. This is a high level overview and my general sentiment towards the game. I've played MMOs since 2000. I started with Everquest's first expansion, Ruins of Kunark (400+ days of playtime). My most recent was WoW's Shadowlands 1.1 update. I've also sunk weeks and months of playtime into Rift, BDO, ESO, D&DO, LOTRO, NW, GW2 and many other MMO genre cross-overs..

The game development seems to have no heart, seemingly purely motivated to cash grab, dangle carrots, and ignore fatal flaws that has caused the largest exodus I've ever seen in any game. The decisions they make fall in line with the complaints from their employees at amazon in general. It doesn't seem like they understand that gamers can't be treated as customers that visit their retail site. We have options how to spend our time gaming. The activity numbers reflect this. Shame on ags leadership. You are an embarrassment to the gaming community. I hope your offices get cleaned out and you are replaced by passionate creators that push for quality. Your leadership is a complete failure.

I get that I'll probably get some hate from name dropping Sir Sweaty himself, Asmongold, but he is dead on with his reviews of this game after playing 500 hours. I can't recommend this game past level 30 and it's not worth $40 for that experience alone. Check back in about a year to see if it's worth it then. For now, hard pass on this buggy pile of mobile inspired garbage.
