TL;DR: Great atmosphere, lovely art, but super boring and poor writing.

The art is lovely and moody. Powerful use of contrast, lighting, and color. It really feels like you're in a film noir atmosphere, visually.
The music spans from melancholy and sometimes engaging. I love the breathy jazz club singers, which have a Portishead vibe. When you're just in your office or walking around, it can get sulky.
Unfortunately, the writing is pretty bad. It's clear the writer is young and inexperienced. It's amateur; all the characters talk in the same voice (which is written - no recorded dialogue), with the same cliched expressions. They all sound about the same age - 23, although their presumed ages vary. Despite painting a backdrop of 1940s hardboiled crime dramas, the cast exudes the perspectives and language of a Millennial.
Worst of all, I simply don't care about the characters.
I gave it a good 48 minutes. This one's not for me.

Oh dear... people in past eras who look and think like modern Americans is one of my least-favorite tropes. Thanks for sharing that info!
