My favorite 4X. This is what they mean when they say "They don't make them like they used to." Clunky, complex, beautiful.

No other game does what this game does. There is still a lot of roughness around the systems but if you're looking for an open world PvP sandbox this is the one.

This is the one I come back to.

The combat is tactical and enjoyable, which given the pedigree I expected. But the story, the writing, and the art direction really stood out. Your adventure is really tied well together, the balance between combat, resource management, and story is engaging and fun. The load times and funny cameras will draw missions longer than needful.

Space ninja

Fly fleeing forward freighting fortuitous facts, frenetically foraging to forestall fatal frame fractures following fervorous fraternal fighting. FTL is fun.

The sky is full of dragons
Thieves nursing ragged flagons
Iron daggers you'll be smithing
Life outside you'll be reminiscing
Find your brothers in the dark
