The eggs have been on my mind for some time now.

Bloodlines was amazing, easily the best out of the collection but the music in the original NES trilogy is INSANE, nothing on the others comes close. I also really enjoyed the whip mechanics in the super, gave me Umihara Kawase fishing line vibes.

The non-pixel art cutscenes are so ugly, a decision that's really hard for me to understand since the only reason you play this game is for the art. Should've kept the first games in-style minimal cutscenes. (also wasn't that big a fan of the dlc ending of the first game.)

The level design and gameplay here is much better than the first, the bosses are also better but much easier, they made me anticipate their ng+ versions only to find out there is no ng+, wtf.

The music isn't as good as the first, the writing sometimes manages to capture you but the more it fleshes itself out the more it sucks.

I also wasn't a fan of the new execution + regular death animations, mostly they turn into mush and lack the impact and violence of the first game. And where are all the titties and peepees that were in the first game?

Yeah all that I said seems negative but it was a great game, loved it.

(except the narrative design, the constant exposition buddy making jokes and ♥♥♥♥ is horrible)

rock and stone etc. (never had any interest in this type of game until they rocked and stoned it, and turns out it ♥♥♥♥♥.)

horrible AI upscaled textures. I think even the normal maps for some are AI-made, they look real ♥♥♥♥♥♥. At least you can toggle between this and the original in real-time.
