The best experience I had with these games on my Sony Playstation was hanging out in the practice areas - Laura's home. I'd just run around the mansion and goof off.

The games are great, but I always came back to play around in her home. Just doing stupid things. Now, I can do it with better graphics!

Some things you should know about this collection:

Using an Xbox controller and the original 'tank mode' movement for Lara, the analog sticks at default were really sensitive and I couldn't walk in a straight line. Go into the settings and you can turn down the sensitivity, and it'll work fine. For really detailed parts of the game where you have to walk and shimmy to a certain position, it's easy enough to move your left thumb down to the digital pad. It's a little easier to take small steps that way.

There's a setting for 'modern controls' and while it works pretty well for running around, I haven't figured out how to get out of water when I'm submerged. If you try to use the modern controls and get stuck, just go into settings and switch back to 'tank controls' to get out of tough situations. The modern controls may still need some work before it's fully functional. That, or I just didn't figure it out.

Switching between the original graphics and the new, update version can be done in-game in in menus by simply tapping the tiny 'start' button above the right analog stick. Nice!

To quit the game at any time and go back to the main menu to select which game you want to play, enter the menu, select the 'game' book and when 'new game' is highlighted, tap right on the left stick or gamepad and you'll see 'quit game'. When you're at the main menu, do the same thing again if you want to exit the entire game and go back to Steam.

For what it's worth, if you know about all the old secret glitches in the game - they all still work. You can get to the rooftop of Laura's mansion in the practice modes. It was all preserved.

Great port of this trilogy!

Pierre is a litter bug, Lars is a hillbilly redneck. That bra and bust defies all laws of physics.You thought you could never experience this again. WRONG.

Play it in original resolution or flick on the HD remastered graphics if you need to remind yourself you are not a teenage boy again in your bedroom on a 16" TV screen.

Buy it, don't regret a moment.
