I have to preface this review with the fact t hat I played this game fully patched so I only came up against one game breaking bug that I had to restart from a saved game which sucked, but one bug is really nothing these days. I think the flak that this game gets is not warranted as they set out to make a top down shooter and I think they made a very fun game in the genre. It has lots of different types of weapons that are all upgradable, the graphics are excellent, and it is fun to play. The story is idiotic and really just there to keep you blasting things, but who really cares about a story in this type of game?

I think that the environments are really cool and the artists did an excellent job with this game. If you like top down shooters I would say this is one of the better ones I have played and have no problem recommending it. It is nothing special but what it does it does well.

The one negative thing I would say is that it is absolutely not worth the asking price. This is a $20 game maximum and I got it in a bundle that cost about $7 and had 6-8 games in it which could also be why I enjoyed it much more than other people. If I had spent full price I may have a different opinion on the game. Get it on sale or in a bundle and you'll enjoy it.

Oh boy am I happy I decided to pull the trigger on this game! I played Descent 1 and 2 when they were current and absolutely loved them. They had tight gameplay mechanics, a fresh style of gameplay (6 degrees of freedom), excellent atmosphere, and great music.

Everything present in those games that wowed me are here in Overload with as much polish, style, and great gameplay mechanics as the original Descent games. Plus, there is multiplayer, challenge mode with leader boards and a really easy to use level editor so you can have endless fun! It is so great to see some devs get back and revive their genre in the truest form to their old games as possible while being completely modern. The icing on the cake is playing it in VR! With an HP WMR HMD + Xbox One S controller I am LOVING this experience.

I highly recommend this game if you were into the descent games and want something that lives up to them whether you are playing in pancake or VR mode this game is awesome - you will not regret it.

This is simply one of the best RTS games of all time, hands down. If you want massive scale battles with that good old time RTS feel then this is the pinnacle of what RTS on a grand scale can offer. Nothing has done it better than this so far and with Forged Alliance Forever being actively worked on with a decently sized community this game is going to last for quite some time. They made an absolutely terrible game for the sequel so this is going to have to take us until someone decides to one up. I, for one, am grateful for this amazing RTS and the excellent community that had nurtured it over the years. I just really don't think it gets better than this for large scale RTS.

Want more Prey? YES.

Want a roguelike Prey for more replicability? Sure, why not?

I would have gone with a solid old school style expansion where we get another campaign that builds on the excellent foundation of Prey, but it is such a good game that I will take what I can get. This is fun and it is more Prey. Great!

I LOVED Bioshock 1 and Bioshock 2 was very good. Bioshock 3 was fun, but in the new age "AAA" super easy and not much to it gameplay mechanics wise kind of fun where you just kind of pass everything by thinking you're having fun until you realise it was just too easy and didn't really pose a challenge to any serious gamer even on the harder difficulties.

This is where Prey swoops in and saves the day. This is the Bioshock 3 that I really wanted and they gave it to me in flying colours. If you like the Bioshock gameplay mechanics and GREAT atmosphere this game has it all. I was just floored at how good this game was as it came out of nowhere for me. It wasn't even on my radar. Hell, I pirated it just to see if it was good and couldn't put it down until I beat it and then felt shame for not supporting the developers so I bought it and beat it again. I can hardly stick with a game these days until the end and I beat this one twice.

What a refreshing breath of air in all the junk FPS games we have out now. Do yourself a favour and buy this game because the developers deserve your money and you deserve to experience one of the best single player FPS games of the decade. BRAVO Arkane Studios, bravo.

It is just a super basic copy of smash bros. Not even the best one out there. I got this for a quarter fo the asking price on sale and still don't think it is worth it. The controls are wonky and the gameplay mechanics are just not good. I wanted to like it. I tried to like it, but I just don't. If you are looking for a smash bros clone I would suggest looking for another title.

I am stunned that I missed this game! I can't believe how much fun it is. Just shooting like crazy with awesome mechanics and no fluff. If you like first person shooters like Shadow Warrior, Bulletstorm, and Alien Rage Unlimited do yourself a service and get this. Still plays and looks good even though it is aging. I am very happy that I chanced upon this game as I pretty much played it straight through in two days which I never do.

Tons of fun!

This game sold millions of copies and has one of the largest, consistent player bases of any game in all time. That should mean that the company responsible for the game is drowning in cash and has more than enough money to focus on optimisation and quality of life improvements. Nope, they decide to pump out loot crates and keys, make exclusive modes and items for those who pay extra during special events while leaving their shoddy net code intact, barely addressing optimisation, and overall just going the Electronic Arts way of business to the extreme. Yes, we get new maps and weapons and don't have to pay but I would rather have quality expansions containing substantial content for a single price rather than this loot economy garbage and see a real effort to fix what is terribly wrong with this game. Seems that is not in the interest of the devs. So, I say no don't buy this game as there are tons of others out there doing it better without the crazy gambling for kiddies mentality at the center of it all.

Shame on you PUBG Corporation. Once again greed tops the priority list.

Got this in a bundle and must say that had zero hoped for it, thought I would play a few rounds, and that would be it. I seem to want to play this game every now and again and since I got it I have not uninstalled. It is a small roguelike FPS with fun coop elements. The game is far from AAA status although the price seems right even though I didn't pay for it directly (I think it was a humble bundle). Definitely having fun with it and even more fun when a friend joins the party. It isn't anything stand out special although it is definitely something good enough to keep me coming back to play play it in short burts every now and again. If you are thinking of buying it I would say go for it.

This game is tons of fun, and I was able to snag it for free in the first 24 hours, it has to be one of the best battle royale games out there. If you didn't grab it for free don't worry as it is completely worth 5 bucks. I wouldn't even hesitate at that price for such a fun game. I love the take on it; how it is totally silly yet actually plays very well. The wobble and gang beasts like nature to the engine makes it tons of fun while the map is large and quite detailed considering it is a joke game. I find it a bit funny that a game purely as a joke is actually as fun as playing PUBG and way better than H1Z1 could ever possibly aspire to.

With more updates this game has an insane amount of weapons and now a ton of vehicles as well. It is really shaping up to be awesome. I think I just might be enjoying it a bit more than PUBG.

Kudos to the devs and keep up the great support! As of this review the game has received tons of updates and the latest one seems to have dealt witht he cheaters as I have not encountered any since the update.
