If you like to zombie wave shooters and perpetually upgrading your character/weapon stats this game is fantastic! I think it is my favorite overall of the genre. I definitely recommend this at full price which is very reasonable (11 CAD right now). What hey have so far is more than enough considering the price and seeing as they are planning more content before release I don't see a reason why not to buy this game. Another thing to note, which is quite striking as you don't see it very much, is the amount of options the game has. You can setup everything to your exact desire which I find most VR game severely lacking in. Heck, you can even a finely tune the placement of your guns on the controller so it conforms to how you like to hold them making the game very comfortable to play instead of having to hold things awkwardly in order to aim well.

My only complaint is that it does sometimes crash, but I have WMR and that tends to happen for some games so I cannot determine if it is a fault with the game itself or with WMR. Either way it doesn't crash enough for me to not want to play it. I hope it gets resolved but it isn't a very big issue. Maybe one crash for every 5 play session or so right now.

TL;DR Great zombie wave shooter with tons of options not regularly seen in a VR game and with more content to come the full price is at a perfect point.

Wow they really turned this one around. First it wasn't so good but they were making a little progress, then they dropped off the map for al ong time and we all got worried, and now they have released two massive updates making this game fun! It looks like the spirit of Flatout is finally returning after the awful games that came after Flatout 2. I am excited for how this turns out and it is fun to play right now.

I am also saying this in the context of having bought it for much cheaper than the going rate right now of 44 CAD so if I didn't get it on a sale or the initial early access price I would recommend possibly waiting to see what the final product is like or pick it up on a sale before it releases as 44 bucks might be too steep of a price for an early access game. Although, again, they are finally making huge progress and the game is starting to really take on its full shape.

Fun game for what is there but it has been abandoned

Fun game but has been abandoned for some time now so I would probably not buy it unless you specifically want to play what has already been released and have no expectations of any content or bug fix updates. Overall, I would caution buying and stay away even though there is a nice little game here there are other ones in the same genre/setting and have way more content.

This brings me back to the days of Scortched Earth and the classic Macintosh one that I played on my black and white Mac oh so long ago (I can't even remeber the name). This game is really fun and adds a lot to the old formula. Also, suprisingly, it has a decent sized p[layer base so multiplayer online is always a go! I bought it primarily to play with friends local multi-player which is awesome although having a decent fallback multiplayer community never hurts.

Full recommendation on this one. Buy it for full price. Support the dev. Great game.

Eh, kinda fun but not really. Also, it is abandonware so if it is not in a super cheap bundle I would not get it. I think I got it in a bundle that had 10 or so indie VR games for less than 5 CAD and I am still not recommending it.

Even though this game will probably never come out of early access it has enough content to rival any game at this price point and is definitely worth it if you are looking for a 2D isometric zombie survival game with some coop and multiplayer. I enjoyed my time with it a long time ago and it has been continuously updated since way back then so I would hazard a guess that it is even better now which only adds to the recommendation. I am not commenting further on the game mechanics/features as it is all pretty standard stuff. If you like this specific kind of game this is one worth checking out and supporting the developer who has been working on it diligently for years.

This game is just hilariously bad. No wonder the DEV left to make PUBG.

For now I recommend for buying the regular version [Yes] and for the VR Version [No]

Even though it has been in early access for far too long I love this game. It is tons of fun and the developers have a clear view of what they are making which shows in the overall polish and feel of the game. If you are buying this game to play on a monitor I would say go for it without thinking.

However, if you are thinking of getting this game for VR I would caution you as although it is supported quite well it lacks the feeling of speed which is an integral aspect to the game. I don't know what they did but if you play it on your monitor/TV you feel like you are going fast and if you play it in VR it feels too slow. I am sure they are experimenting with it to get it right, but for now I do not enjoy the VR version nearly as much as I do the regular one (since this contains both so buying it still a no brainer and I recommend it).

Also, to the devs, your early access statement is from 2016 stating that it will be out as soon as possible in 2017... well it is 2018 so if you don't want to look like lazy devs who have possibly abandoned the game to potential buyers I would highly recommend updating that.

I get it. They are using the money and development time from DayZ to make the next engine for Bohemia Interactive so in the end we should not only get a great Dayz, but also get a great new engine for possibly Arma 3 and definitely Arma 4. The problem is that I paid for DayZ and not for the development of an engine. I feel cheated as I clearly paid to fund Bohemia Interactive's next engine which they will sell to me again through the purchase of another game (likely Arma 4 and definitely through the continued support of DLC for ARMA 3).

I don't think they did this on purpose when they setup DayZ as an early access game so even though I feel cheated I fully understand the limitations they ran into with the ARMA 2 engine and the need to make a new one for DayZ while I also hope that they make an engine that uses multicore CPUs so that we can see a better ARMA 3 and 4 when the time comes. If the new engine that comes with the bordering on egregiously long development of this game is truly optimised for more than one or two CPUs and we see that in DayZ, ARMA 3, and beyond I will be happy with my investment. For now, though, it has been wasted money.
