I died HOW MANY TIMES!?!

Oh well, gotta keep climbing!

--Took just under 5 hours to reach the credits, in case are curious and like to spend your money based on how much time you get out of the game. If you go back for collectibles/100% or want to improve your times and race your friends then there is plenty of replayability.

The music loops in my brain.
I think I am going insane.
I can't stop playing this game.
Was that the developer's aim?

Just stopping by to confirm this works flawlessly with a Pioneer DDJ-200.

Excellent high quality rhythm game - probably one of the best/most creative on Steam outside of VR.

If you are reading reviews wondering if you should get Beat Saber OR Audica, choose Beat Saber. It's more straightforward and easier to get into. Then, when you've played that for a bit, come back and get Audica. You won't be disappointed.

Like Beat Saber, Audica is a polished, AAA quality VR rhythm game. But instead of slicing with sabers, you use guns to shoot and melee targets in sync to the music. It's different enough to fit nicely next to Beat Saber in any VR library.

Alternatively if you want a VR rhythm game but find yourself "too cool" for the mainstream likes of Beat Saber, this game is perfect for you! Pull the trigger! Quick! Before it's mainstream too! Ahhhhh!

And yes, there's a modding community and custom songs in addition to the dlc :)

Update: After 18 hours and finishing the campaign on Expert, I can say that sightreading DOES get easier - it seems impossible at first but after playing through the higher difficulties you get better at reacting to the notes and predicting the patterns.

Update #2: After about 42 hours according to Steam I got Gold Stars on Expert on all the main songs (33/33). In addition to that I played all the DLC songs until they were at least 5 stars, so factor that in. Just updating about how long it might take for a rhythm game "enthusiast" to do something like that.

Maybe I'll update again if/when I grind out all the achievements.

I still maintain that this is one of the best rhythm games on steam and my favorite rhythm game for VR.

Well that escalated quickly...

...would be the perfect phrase to fit this game.

Trying your hardest to make friends one day, then plotting their downfall the next. The dark humor and "YouTube Bait" got old very fast for me personally, but the puzzle and "mystery" aspect kept me going. Each quest requires careful planning and executing a day perfectly is very satisfying. Highly recommended for a decent puzzle experience and a game in your arsenal to disturb your friends and relatives :D

There's nothing more satisfying than nailing a tough chain during the climax of a song and watching Melody fly :D

I have been playing rhythm games for years, specializing in Rock Band and Guitar Hero, and this game immediately took a spot on my favorites list. You can essentially play an infinite amount of tracks, limited only to your ability to acquire music. The track generator is usually solid, but some songs do provide better experiences than others. I have a list of well-generated content that I will (hopefully) update as I play more :D It seems this game is geared towards EDM, and I have yet to try other genres (looking forward to trying metal, lol).

If you are a fan of rhythm games and EDM, this is a no brainer. Also, use a controller with rumble if possible, it makes the experience much more satisfying :)

List of Well-Generated Tracks
  • Spag Heddy - ♥♥♥♥♥ Thug
  • Zedd Ft. Foxes - Clarity (Brills Remix)
  • Skrillex & Diplo - Holla Out feat Snails & Taranchyla (except for the ending, edit it out if you can lol)
  • Yellow Claw - Shotgun ft. Rochelle
  • Pegboard Nerds - Pink Cloud (feat Max Collins)
  • Blasterjaxx & DBSTF feat Ryder - Beautiful World (D-Block & S-Te-Fan Remix)
  • Allison Wonderland - Take it to Reality ft. Safia
