Progression in this game feels like a drug.
Constantly making that new tool while furnaces are plinking away in the background.
This game will have you wanting to do that for hours, it's REALLY addictive buttttttt VVVV

Development has ceased so the unpolished and grindy aspects will never be reworked.
(Pre-robotic shovel archaeology, fishing rod uselessness outside of kraken eyes, legendary gems farming, slow spirit orb usage, nuclear structures being worse.)
Dev seems to have moved onto a 2D sequel while leaving forager out to rot.

Buy at a discount but not at full price kind of game. It's a lot (like, a LOT) of fun and kept me well entertained for a solid 50 hours, but considering how the game was dropped by the dev a while ago now with missing, promised features, (such as multiplayer) it's hard to recommend at its full price. Certain qol settings or functions are hidden either in the secret settings for the game or need to be added through mods, which is a bit questionable. Still heavily recommend to give it a shot if it's on sale.

THE WORST LATE GAME EVER, I feel like I've lost braincells from the PURE grind it is to get 100% in this game.
You could argue that it is my fault but this game is designed around completing the 'feats' with ♥♥♥♥ like Trillionaire and that dog water nuclear production achievement. Puzzles were impossible for me with no hint system had me resort to the internet.
Lastly the optimization of the game.... or the lack of, just having the game running more than about 5 hrs I would drop to 50 fps from really nothing and this issue getting MUCH worse in the late game.
Overall, I'm never touching this game again lmao
