It’s a beautiful combination between NHL Hitz 2003 and Game Dev games. I can’t rely on EA to release NHL so this has exceeded my expectations and is incredibly fun. Finally, a decent hockey game on steam!!

The world was young, the mountains green,
No stain yet on the Moon was seen,
No words were laid on stream or stone
When Durin woke and walked alone.
He named the nameless hills and dells;
He drank from yet untasted wells;
He stooped and looked in Mirrormere,
And saw a crown of stars appear,
As gems upon a silver thread,
Above the shadow of his head.

The world was fair, the mountains tall,
In Elder Days before the fall
Of mighty kings in Nargothrond
And Gondolin, who now beyond
The Western Seas have passed away:
The world was fair in Durin's Day.

A king he was on carven throne
In many-pillared halls of stone
With golden roof and silver floor,
And runes of power upon the door.
The light of sun and star and moon
In shining lamps of crystal hewn
Undimmed by cloud or shade of night
There shone for ever fair and bright.

There hammer on the anvil smote,
There chisel clove, and graver wrote;
There forged was blade, and bound was hilt;
The delver mined, the mason built.
There beryl, pearl, and opal pale,
And metal wrought like fishes' mail,
Buckler and corslet, axe and sword,
And shining spears were laid in hoard.

Unwearied then were Durin's folk;
Beneath the mountains music woke:
The harpers harped, the minstrels sang,
And at the gates the trumpets rang.

The world is grey, the mountains old,
The forge's fire is ashen-cold;
No harp is wrung, no hammer falls:
The darkness dwells in Durin's halls;
The shadow lies upon his tomb
In Moria, in Khazad-dûm.
But still the sunken stars appear
In dark and windless Mirrormere;
There lies his crown in water deep,
Till Durin wakes again from sleep.

I recommend this to any Lord of the Rings fans out there. Give it a shot and try it for yourself. You won’t regret it.

I personally still enjoy playing Helldivers 2. This is unfortunately a community that frequently complains to the developers. The developers listen and make those changes. To me, that shows they care regardless of how the state of the game is right now. The developers are still very active and want to make it right.

My encounters online have been pleasant and I have been greeted by mature gamers who show respect and vice versa. Friendly fire is part of the game and everyone understands that. It can be very comical at times and I still am having a lot of fun.

It’s very easy to obtain super credits, medals and requisition slips. You can use them to unlock new content. The devs could’ve easily made them dlc’s but if you grind a little bit you can unlock everything without paying further.

Finally, a roguelike deckbuilder worth mentioning. The only ones that come close are: Monster Train and Slay the Spire. I’ve been looking for a poker game and Balatro surprised the hell out of me. It’s very rare, and it’s the most hours I’ve ever logged on a demo before. GG

You can see and feel every little detail that went into this game. Truly a masterpiece.

Hands down my favourite game series of all time. I’ve beat these games six times on xbox 360, now I get to play the remastered version and it keeps on getting better! Even after beating these games six times, I can choose a different class, different biotic abilities, weapons, weapon attachments,
armor attachments, dialogue options, alternative outcomes and anything else I may be missing. Certain things stay the same as expected, I cannot complain. The only thing I can complain about is sometimes the ea launcher is a little finicky. It is bearable considering once it gets going, it runs smoothly for me.

Many years later and I’m still having a blast with this series, pun intended. This will always be a classic for me and truly one of my favourites of all time.

Early Access Review
Maybe I’ve been spoiled with NHL Hitz 2003 and cannot appreciate this game for what it is. For me, the passing needs improvement and the controls in general are a little finicky. I do understand this game is early access, but I am not a fan of games being released without being thoroughly tested. I am going back to gamecube with NHL Hitz 2003. One of the best hockey games ever made in my opinion.
