"So, we all agree this was the fabled land of Plutonia, are we? I don't remember accepting that."
"I will admit it might not have been Plutonia if you are prepared to accept the dinosaur."

I think this might be the easiest game I have ever played. (Well, except for the end of that bonus episode 9. Wth was that?)

I was sold on this game 5 seconds into the trailer. I had no idea what to expect when I started this game, but I absolutely loved it!

Though the gameplay was nothing special (the usual platformer), the dialogues and the voice actors absolutely gave life to this game! Made me laughed out loud. I enjoyed every second of their banter! The cliffhangers on every episode just kept me wanting more.

I don't know what's up with the extra Episode 9 (Is he dead? Is that why there's no color? And that he can see Laika?, but I hope we get to see a sequel soon. Perhaps an update with the General and his bees.

A hidden gem, indeed! Worth it at full price? YES!

It should have been very easy to love this game. I mean, it was so beautiful!
But I only finished this out of sheer will. The control was so iffy that I didn't enjoy like half of my playthrough.
When it worked, it was awesome. When it didn't, it was annoying.
The last level was very disorienting, which would have still been fine if not for the bad controls. I wanted to quit then.

But, I still enjoyed the rest of my gameplay. Not counting the bad controls, it was a relaxing game. It was so chill that your character wouldn't die while you played it. It was so chill that you wouldn't even get to play the boss fight. It was just a cutscene.

Pros:
+ Absolutely GORGEOUS. Like wallpaper-worthy. I had taken so many screenshots.
+ Music was so on point.
+ Short to 100% (thank god!)

Cons:
+ The controls were too wonky. And I played with a controller.

I have a love-hate relationship with this game. More love, less hate, but love-hate nevertheless.

LOVE, because it's a beautiful and fun game. I do cherish every moment with Ori.
HATE, because its difficulty made me wanna bash my controller on Ori and question my sanity for playing this game.

Did it make me cry? Almost - the frustration took my tears. Otherwise, I'd probably be wailing.

But all in all, I very much enjoyed it. Worth the $$$ I paid for it.

I want a third game. Why isn't there a third game?!

Finally restarted this game and finished it in 3 days.

Did I buy this thinking it was a cute and simple platformer game that would make people cry?
I probably did because I still don't like hard games.

Did I rage quit TWO times since I bought this game in 2016?
Yes, I must have (2 unfinished save files).

Did I cry playing this game?
Yes - tears of rage and frustration.

Did I enjoy the story?
It started off alright. And then I was too busy trying to find collectibles that I didn't pay too much attention to the story. Ending was good, though.

Was I glad I finished this game?
Yes. It was enjoyable when I didn't kill Ori during puzzles or platforming.

Things got so much easier after I got all the abilities and leveled up the skill tree.

Now I can move on and actually do some relaxing on my Sunday.

My Rating: 8/10

Edit:
I went back to the game and 100% the map about 2 hours after I wrote this review.
According to the in-game stats, it took me 14h:04m to finish it (I'm sure I idled for some time looking at YouTube), and Ori died 677 times during my playthrough.
Anyway, I enjoyed this game. ❤

WHAT WAS THAT ENDING?!?!

Anyway, I bought this game in 2022 for about $20 because I loved the first one. Well, I guess it was not the game's fault that I was a scaredy cat that couldn't get past the Hospital chapter. Until today, three years later, and I even replayed it from the start.

I absolutely loved it! That ending was wicked!

However, controls were sometimes clunky, especially the 'combat'.

Oh, Mono... And she even held your handdddd...

Seriously, WHAT WAS THAT ENDING?!?!

When she sang at her mother's statue and the flowers bloomed, my heart broke a little.

Then, when the ACCEPTANCE achievement popped up, my heart was in pieces.

And finally, when her mom sang with her, and her world was in colors, my heart just gave up.

This game is absolutely gorgeous, and the gameplay was very fluid. Loved how quickly I can swim. But don't love how I needed to backtrack to find those light thingies.

Also, we made a friend who liked square apples, but it went 'chip! chip!' and abandoned us.

Definitely worth a play.

Nice FMV, Good and funny story. An easy whodunnit.

MVP is definitely Tie Sheng.

Some annoying QTEs, as per the usual.

Glad I finished it. Definitely worth price.

Nice little game, decent story. Only took 30 mins to finish one playthrough.
Nice familiarity too, especially for Malaysians and Singaporeans.
Can't really complain about the length coz I paid about a dollar for it.

I enjoyed this. Spooky atmosphere, nice story, and pretty decent puzzles. I like the skip option for the more annoying ones.
Will prolly play the subsequent games for the story.

Early Access Review
I enjoyed this game—it's very relaxing, but I still get anxious when it's night time because Minecraft has conditioned me so.
However, make sure you're okay with killing some dingos and roos, eventually. Sigh.
That aside, I like fishing and catching butterflies to get rich.
I'll stay away from hunting; the fishes pay more.
