I ABSOLUTELY ADORE THIS GAME!

The story? Sweet and heartbreaking.
The visual? Beautiful.
The music? Omg - chef's kiss! Melancholic, happy, playful, sad - you name it, they brought it.

My favorite level was Romance, the one with the lotus pond. The music, the mechanics, the visual - that was peak for me.

Some reviewers thought the controls were bad. But we play as an old man. To me, his falls, his slowness, made us feel his burden. But yes, sometimes a fall from a short height will kill you.

HOWEVER, I find no fault with this game. 10/10!

If you have it in your library, play it.
If you don't, get it.

The game wants to tell us that humans are cruel. But I guess we know that already.

Buy the game to be a gibbon for an hour or two and swing from tree to tree.

Finished the main story already. But haven't started on the Liberation mode yet.

Did I enjoy it? Eh, it was alright. I kinda liked just swinging to move forward until it got repetitive.

I'd get it at a discount or in a bundle.

"Eventually you realize that 'later' is an excuse, it doesn't exist."

Got this game because I wanted to know what happened to Evan.

The story was alright. It didn't make much sense at the end, but I guess it served its purpose.

The puzzles were quite good, and skippable if you couldn't solve it and couldn't be bothered to check YouTube (like me. I was only there for Evan).

It was short and (bitter)sweet. Wished there was an option to make the dialogues go quicker for fast readers.

Not a must play, but if you picked it up from a bundle, give it a shot.

My rating: 7/10

I wanted to play the game (on a whim) because of how pretty it looked. And because of the 'Story Rich' tag. The store description only mentioned 'puzzle platformer' and not much else. So, I went in pretty blindly. For the first few minutes, I thought I had accidentally gotten a horror game yet again.

And, well, what an experience that was! I don't even know how to articulate it without giving away too much. I liked how I was kept on the edge of my seat just trying to figure out wth was happening.

The game gave us the story in snippets for us to piece together (they didn't even tell us who those characters were), and that kept me guessing, but I was like 80% wrong in the end anyway. It was still good, jaw dropped and all.

Gameplay was easy, music and sound effects were excellent, but controls got a bit confusing between the three characters. For me, at least.

I do wish there were more 'platforming' elements in the game. And a playable ending instead of a very lengthy cutscene. There should also be more hints throughout the gameplay instead of dumping most of everything at the end.

Would I replay this again? Not really. It's good for one playthrough, though.

It's very short, but definitely a good choice if it's on sale.

"I was wrong. It's a tale about love."

I played the original game in 2016. Absolutely loved it back then. Got my heart utterly shattered back then, too.

The only difference with this remake is that I got my heart broken in HD instead.

Still loved the story. Still made me cry. At the same scene, at the same action. Despite me already anticipating it.

However, the last parts where they made us use both control to help Naiee with the puzzles hit so much harder, for some reason, and absolutely broke me this time.

My rating? Still the same as the original one: 10/10.

Atrocious control.
Underwhelming story.

I reeeeeally wanted to like this game. I was looking forward to a plot twist due to what I thought were 'bad omens' they sprinkled here and there. Well, pretty much nothing happened.

Despite the very bad controls, I persevered till the end of Chapter 3 (last chapter), but despite solving all puzzles, the game wouldn't let me continue to the next part. I saw a discussion about the same issue in the community hub. Yeah, by then, I was in no mood to continue. I just watched the ending (the last 5 minutes or so) on a walkthrough.

Luckily, I got it at 90% off.

If you must, get it when it's heavily discounted.

As a fan of Inside and Little Nightmares, this was a no-brainer when it cropped up at 90% off.

I loved the world building, even if it was a grim one. The sound and visual combined did give it a yucky and eerie feel that it was going for.

The game looked so good, played well (simple puzzles and platforming, though the flying was a little weird, but hey), and gave me a 3-hour playthrough. I also loved the classical tunes used in this game; it made me feel as if I was watching a cartoon.

Would I recommend? Absolutely, if you can get it at a discount (because it's so short).

My rating: 8/10

*My longer gametime would probably just be me idling for the rest of the cards.

I love this game! Even with the horror parts.

I bought it thinking of cute gnomes and gnarly trolls, even though I knew it'd be grim. Well, I WAS NOT prepared for what was in this game. I had to stop playing because it was night time, but I guess that was a me-problem.

Anyway, loved the folk lore, loved the story, loved our cute friends, but DID NOT love the final boss design. It was not hard, just annoying to get the timing, and sometimes, they just kill you anyway. I hope whoever designed the final boss and Pesta fights will always spend a minimum of 3 hours in fighting any boss. That was NOT cool, man.

Story was very good, very immersive; my jaw dropped many, many times. The jump scares got me too.

However, control was sometimes clunky, but it was an easy game anyway, barring those two boss fights. Again, not hard, just annoyingly long.

I got it at a discount, so it was totally worth my bucks. At full price? Absolutely, too!

Well, it was alright. Didn't really vibe with the story or the characters but I was, at least, rooting for Erin at the end. And yes, I managed to save her and Mark. I guess 2 out of 5 is alright? AND THE DOG, TOO! Charlie died because my button press didn't register. Sorry, Charlie.

Will I replay this again to try to save everyone? Probably not. The story just dragged on and on and on.

It was certainly worth a playthrough, though. On a random note, I liked how Mark's source of light was the camera flash (that you had to keep pressing to light up a room or dark corner). It seriously made the game even creepier.

Get it on a discount if you like this type of game.
