Years after playing this I sometimes still cringe from how boring the game is that I genuinely feel the immediate need to hit the highway no seat belt and drink drive at night 120mph to wash it out of my system.

The setting and preview looked interesting but when you get down to it, pure style over substance.

The AI is braindead. It always rushes head on toward you, never uses cover, never flanks, does not grenade and never creates any distance to fire at you from afar. All you have to do to counter the AI is camp in a corner or run small circles. Most of the time you will find yourself clipping their heads off like zombies as they line up in a convenient straight line. When killed they turn into an unsatisfying puff of blood. I expect more from cybernetic warriors.

The guns available for use are best described as generic, akimbo does not equal exciting. The guns did not even react 50% of the time to mouse clicks until I changed the settings from default windowed to fullscreen mode. It turns out this is a commonly reported error in an FPS! This game has been out for over a year....

The multi-directional level design is bad because it makes the worst mistake of all, it's confusing, the game progression relies on travelling by jumps and wall-run through the map without strongly advertising direction to the player by environmental prompts, markers or arrows, this conflicts hard with the fast pacing the game tries to establish through the music and character movement speed, the result is this causes constant breaks to immersion and increases frustration.

E1 is said to have the "best" design of the entire game. I decided to stop playing before E2,E3 to get a refund. Be aware this becomes an arena shooter. It is worth noting that there is woke political pandering squeezed into the codex for no apparent reason. The game is not very long, 5 or 6 hours so there is that too.
