I leave precious few games with something to think about, but this is one that I will be mulling over for some time. A triumph of ideas, abstraction, incomplete narrative disclosure, and lovingly nostalgic level design... but the discomfiting soundtrack is what truly elevates the experience of playing the game.

Perhaps not for everyone, but if you have ever loved GBC/GBA era Zelda games--and Earthbound/Mother style JRPGs--that should be enough to get your foot in the door on this one. Support developers who are this committed to making old ideas mean something new.
