The game gives you feels, and it's sad in a good way. I've heard that the best kind of sadness actually provides you with overall positive experiences in form of catharsis and release. Spiritfarer is all about the release. As you play, you will learn to move away from keeping things from moving on, to yearning to let go. And for that alone you should definitely try this game.

The world is magical, comfy, and dream-like. I find myself thinking a lot about it long after I've completed the game. The art style is amazing without being pretentious and it captures the exact message and tone the game meant to convey: deep yet whimsical, deathly but alive. The relative otherworldly (but friendly) silence in your ship when all of your guests have moved on makes you want to do it all over again.

My only gripe with it would be the same I've had with other "comfy, relaxing" games. There's just so much things going on! And everything's timed, with negative results if you missed something. Try to play without the completionist mindset of always wanting to collect everything and get all things done on your first go. I believe Spiritfarer was always intended to be experienced slowly. After all, given a chance to spend some time with your long-lost loved ones, you'd want to savor the time you have with them too, wouldn't you?

Super short, super awesome, super-reminding that your typing skill is applicable even far to the grimdark future. Only about twelve minutes long, but glory is forever.

A great, deadly, exhilarating, stressful, and epic turn-based strategy game set in the much-beloved Warhammer 40,000 universe where you control the infinitely awesome Grey Knights. Like others, I can't help but compare it to XCOM 2, but I quickly admitted that Chaos Gate - Daemonhunters is an amazing game in its own right and deserves your time to explore and beat. Building your roster of Knights really feels like you're gathering superheroes, and training and equipping them feels very satisfying.

It gets very repetitive near the middle, though. The UI and controls also felt clunky and cluttered, only improving a bit after I got used to it. Definitely could use a cleanup.

A unique combination of first-person shooter and turn-based strategy married to an enthralling story set in a familiar yet magical world. I find myself loving my soldiers, and I pushed them to get better at everything they do as I scramble to avoid losing them permanently (yes, your named soldiers could die permanently in this game). The chemistry between characters gave them life and spiced up the story. I kept thinking about this game long after I finished it.

"XCOM with waifus and husbandos", some nerds on a Discord server I'm a member of said. Valkyria Chronicles 4 is a massive improvement over its predecessors (not that I played the games between it and the first Valkyria Chronicles, because THEY'RE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ UNAVAILABLE), with more character classes, challenge missions, and overall gameplay length. Its story is very, very good; I recommend playing to the end and then play some more to get the true ending.

Would I play this game again, though? No. It's not really replayable for me. The satisfaction you get from completing the game comes with a certain fatigue and a looming darkness covering the promises of the horrors you'd have to face all over again if you ever thought to revisit tho scenarios again. Once is enough for me. I have a backlog of other games to experience.

The best sci-fi strategy video games ever made, period. You can't find a better contender in the class.

They all said Stardew Valley was the best game in the world. I had to be the tardy idiot that I was until 2024 to prove them correct. This game is every bit a masterpiece of pure gameplay fun they all claimed it was. This is what sandbox video games should be like. This is proof that hard work and dedication never betrays you.

All hail ConcernedApe. I hope there are more Stardew Valley success stories out there. I wish I could play a game like Stardew Valley again, and have at least the same amount of fun. Until then, I'll just continue playing Stardew Valley.

This game took everything that is fun about roguelikes, shoot-em-ups, and the survival game genre and actually made it playable for hours upon hours of pure adrenaline-filled fun. It seems like there's a continuous supply of new contents, as well. I haven't even gotten to the bundled DLC I got with the base game!

The old but gold quintessential zombie shooting game. Fun even when playing single. It's simple to play and requires very little commitment.

A must-have for RPG lovers. If you love a story-driven activity and you also love something original, mirroring real life, and fantastic in a realistic way, Disco Elysium is the game for you.
