I am a PC-gamer-only since the late 90's. This game looks amazing and im sure I will have fun with it. But I am giving this an automatic thumbs down due to the fact that the game is locked on steam in 180 regions in the world. Some people say that those regions don't matter, but as a player from western europe I know for a fact that just a few countries like Morrocos, Algiers and Egypt have massive gaming communities judging by when I play CS2 and those players are everywhere in EU servers. PC is a platform that prides itself of being for everyone, anywhere. So is Valve. You can create a steam account in Antartida as long as you have internet conection, and even if you lose that conection you can play most single-player games in offline mode. So this is not a good step foward when it comes for PC gaming, in fact it is several steps back.

I will write a review about the game when I actually finnish it, but this will remain a thumbs down on my end no matter how good the game is, unless Sony Playstation studios reverses course on their policy on PC (Steam).

Very short comparing to The Dark Descent, and the vibe is completly diferent albeit with a certain feel of its own that I do like. But, inspite of being its own game, I think it is way too easy comparing to the first one.

There are 2 games in this game. I know this sounds weird. There's a 10/10 game and 6/10 game.

Ultra Hard / Explorer mode / No HUD is a 10/10 game.

Below Ultra Hard, Guided mode gives you the vanilla ubosift game markers overdose turning this into a 6/10 game.

The Mo-cap and story telling is one of the best I have seen ever in a videogame, idk why people hated on this game, maybe souls-like fans due to ER launch? Idk.

So yeah, Ultra Hard / Explorer mode / No HUD and this is one of the best story-driven open world games I have ever played with a mixed complex combat system that makes for hundreds of hours of fun.

10/10 for me.

180 countries still locked out of having fun. I was 177 but they just locked the 3 EU Baltic states too. I'm changing this to negative and it's not going back, ever. I don't trust liars.

1 - My review is based on my experience playing the game with Frame Generation mod installed. If I wasn't using it, this game would be at max a 3/10 due to performance issues even when I'm using a 13900K + 4090 setup.

The review:

Amazing game, very addictive for reasons I can't yet explain. I've played better games that didn't get a hold on me like this one. Is it the story? Heck no. But the world building and gameplay are very good.

I dislike the fact that NPCs in the city and everywhere really, don't react to stuff you do like stealing from inside people's houses etc. To trigger a reaction the only thing that does it is draw your weapon and they flee.

NG+ feels a bit off due to no enemy scaling. The MTX complaints are valid but to be fair I had more than I could spend in items without ever even consider buying any MTX.

8/10

I looked at the portuguese borders. Tried to tell myself it's just a game. My OCD and portuguese pride couldn't handle it. I'm sure the spanish love it though :D

Refunded.

Short but amazing game. Bineural audio really plays tricks on you. Great visuals, but I recomend turning off motion-blur and Chromatic Aberration. If you want max settings with these 2 off, this can only be done in the engine and escalation ini files since it's seems to be hardcoded into the game.

Wow... just wow. I was not expecting this. Returnal is an exhilarating masterpiece that seamlessly blends heart-pounding gameplay with a mind-bending narrative. Its dynamic, ever-changing world keeps you on the edge of your seat, while the gripping story adds emotional depth to the relentless action. A true marvel that raises the bar for gaming experiences! Takes me back to my childhood days in the arcades but with a coat of modern gaming flavour.

A pure 10/10 for me. Games like this should launch on PC day 1. It would be very much alive if it did. Alas, it's not, so co-op is scarse.

My first playthrough has ended. I chose to do every single quest, and even after 200h i'm pretty sure i missed a lot of hiden content. It is a massive game in scope. I love this game very VERY much.

Starfield takes you on an epic voyage through a meticulously designed galactic wonderland (tho it does have the limitations of a hub based construct using the creation engine 2 from bethesda.

The attention to detail is staggering, from awe-inspiring celestial vistas to the fine-tuned gameplay that seamlessly blends thrilling space battles and captivating planetary exploration. The storyline is a captivating odyssey (many factions, and a million non aligned quests... but it feels odd that most people that escaped earth's doom is anglo-saxon).
Still, the game is enriched by a diverse cast of characters and a world teeming with secrets waiting to be unearthed.

I strongly recommend this game. Can't wait to make a fully modded playthrough in a couple years. For now, maybe i'll go for ng+ 10 rush. Emphasis on maybe. Or maybe reload the save before the end and find even more quests, because there are so many hidden and hard to trigger.
