The aesthetics really didn't prepare me for the themes and I'm ok with that.

I suck at games like this, but not once did I find the game to be unfair despite having my arse handed to me plenty of times. Every time it happened, I could without any doubt blame my own ineptitude for the failure. It's a well designed game. The boss fights were fun once I figured out what I was doing and for me they were difficult enough that it felt good to beat them.
Music, sounds and visuals were great. The visual design in particular is very appealing, but there's also plenty of music here I'd gladly listen to outside of the game.

Played it on Steam Deck OLED, ran 90 FPS without any changes to settings. Easily got over 6 hr of battery life while playing too.

The game looks pretty good and it works fairly well for wasting time like a cookie clicker, but it's a substantially worse than Victoria 2 in every single aspect that matters. They turned this game into a shallow and poorly implemented central planning simulator where you just plop "buildings" to turn your blue numbers orange and try in vain to manually trade with the incompetent AI which doesn't produce the stuff you need at all. I'm surprised to say that even the combat system works worse, and I hated combat in Vic 2... You know, I went back to play Victoria 2 yesterday and I love the combat now. I guess all I needed was perspective.

They might improve this to the level of Vic 2 by selling you a couple of dozen DLC and completely reworking a lot of the mechanics, but that's a huge price to pay even if they actually do decide to improve this instead of leaving it to rot as is. Just use your money on something else, there are plenty of games to play. Including Vic 2.

I don't like Take 2. I don't like the DRM they use in this game either. Rockstar Social Club is cancer.

The previous Danganronpa game made me think, this game made me salty. Now I think about vengeance.

Worth every bolívar.
