If you came from DS2, this game will surprise you on how fast it is.

If DS2 is the DotA of MOBA, DS3 is no doubt the LoL of the genre.

Great game, but the immersions keeps getting broken by the need to buffer videos from the website. It'd be nice if they already included the videos as assets in the game, same for sounds and the like.

EDIT: So this game has been scamming users via bait and switch, using "teasers" to make it appear as if the game is still being worked on, but in truth, it's not.

- Trello boards are empty, just highlighting extremely basic features that need to even work.
- The game is early access, but they decided to have less than 10 people for "Closed Beta". One of the things you need to test before 1.0 is how much the game can handle, seeing as online/coop is one of its main features.
- There has been a lot of "teaser" announcements, to which have all been empty and delayed as they call it, for so many years now.
- 1.0 means meeting the promised product, not the producer-intended product. Basically anyone can call it "1.0" if they meet their own criteria, e.g. barebones game, and will just deliver all other promised and basic functions as a form of "updates" that are, by the way, optional.

And now, I commented negatively on their post on being a scam, and how Steam should not be allowing this kind of behaviour, and the snowflake, rude moderator of this community board has banned me.

I didn't believe that such moderators exist, honestly. Banning because someone says some truth about their game and when they get butthurt, they wave and hit you with their banhammer.

I guess I was wrong.

TL;DR: Do NOT buy. Do NOT support. Do NOT get baited by the frontpage update of being "poised to release 1.0". Please, do not support these kinds of scammers, because you "having faith and giving the benefit of the doubt" only fuels them to do this longer, and far more able in the future. Remember:

I was about to edit this review to be positive, but wow, microtransactions in Early Access, when they said that's not going to be the case?

Great game that has not enough content. Probbably good for builders, but doesn't even have enough block diversity. Still far from what can be called a recommendable game at this point.

Great game, just not my cup of tea. Hate the arcade-like mechanics of flight, and aiming is a little awkward. I guess I'm too used to Elite's flight mechanics. Will still recommend though for arcade-shooters. Graphics is top-notch.

Let's get straight to the point. Do I recommend this? Yes.
Do I recommend the Expansions? No.

- Recommend the game because it's a full, standalone game. It's the whole experience.
- Expansions just expand the game's experience. That's it.

Pro's
- Solid, 3rd person shooter. You like spamming your gun? Ok, it'll work. Good luck on the higher levels though.
- Dark Zone. Most intense part of the game.
- Graphics are very good. Not too much bloom and not too much "gloss".
- Sound effects. Aside from moments where you get a squad member that has a Turret.
- Great Concept.
- Expansions. I know, I know. I said I wouldn't recommend it, but the experience is expanded. Survival = intense.

Cons
- Equipment too easy to get.
- Crafting is almost useless. I'd rather go to Dark Zone to get my tier's guns/armor. (Very Risky though)
- Instance-based. Hate that I can't see alot of players. I see 30k playing online but game feels like there's a couple of people only online.
- Lots of noobs. Wanna make a random group? Prepare for trigger happy noobs who don't know how to take advantage of threat (yes, there is a "threat" system).

Overall, game is worth the buy. The whole game (without expansions) should give you a good 50 hours without completing the collectibles, and just sticking to the story with the occasional side missions and equipment hunting.

Want to play the game more, but I lack a proper group to play with.

Game is aesthetically confusing, and also has very bad performance. Good concept and gameplay (probably), but this is still in Alpha.

Nice game, riddled with bugs. And it's not just some simple bug, it's actually game-breaking bugs that block you from playing.
