You're not fighting difficulty. You're fighting RNG. Layers of RNG upon layers and layers of RNG. There is nothing difficult about this game for as long as you actually take time the time to have some modicum of situational awareness. The rest of it is just hidden RNG to pad out fights, making you lose precious stress, HP, and other resources.

Gave the game multiple chances. Still couldn't stick to it.

Fatal flaws:
- Bugs. There's a "community patch" that fixes a lot if not all of it, but base game is riddled with bugs.
- Facial animations. They are somehow WORSE than ME1, if not the same quality. HOW?
- Worldbuilding. You're a Pathfinder, but there's no pathfinding involved. You're literally just finishing up the actual "pathfinding" the first people did.
- Consequences. All of the things you do are FAKE consequences, except for one single decision at the endgame. This was the start of the downfall of the series, and it shows here.
- Tone. The dialogue was obviously made by fresh graduates that think being funny is the cruise control for everything. The first 3 games were serious and made you invested in the world. This game? It's all about hearing that clever wit that doesn't really latch on properly.
- Lore. How does the first game, which was so much more flawed *supposedly* have better lore than this one? WHERE ARE THE QUARIANS? How is a race that spent so much time in ships be the ones to be left behind? THEY HAD THE GETH TO HELP THEM REBUILD THEIR WORLD.
- Design. Why are omnitools different? Why are N7 suits different? Why does 90% of the game's design look different? This "Andromeda Initiative" supposedly left earth within the same timeline of the Trilogy. So somehow, everything is different? Why is there such a disconnect? Why was there a deep desire to change everything?

Good:
- Combat. The most refined combat of the series. Builds are super flexible. Gun crafting is fun and gives the player so much freedom.

This game should not have been labeled Mass Effect. If this was instead another game, I think it would've fared better.

- Strictly requires 3 players to start. You only have 1 friend available to play? Good luck playing with a rando that would potentially grief your run.
- No voice comms. Why?
- Lack of randomization of POIs. You play the game 3-5 runs (totals about 3 hours), and you've pretty much explored the game.
- Time constraint. Each "day" only lasts for less than 15 minutes, so you can't even breathe to check the drops to see what you wanna pick up or give to your teammate.
- Non-instanced loot. if you happen to be playing with a hoarder, you're pretty much f**ked if they take all the stuff.

Basically a $40 USD asset flip game. Not worth the asking price. There's Ravenswatch, which operates under the literal same mechanics, but randomizes POIs, and has better meta progression. Oh and I HATE that game because there's way too little content. That should say a lot.

This should be 20 USD at most. Skip this boys.

Retarded performance that hardcrashes PC. There's a nice game in here, but it's marred with an incomplete Wanted System, absolutely horrendous performance, and a an absolutely retarded gliding minigame. This is a FIGHTING GAME, not a f**cking glider simulator.

There's a great experience here somewhere, but it's hidden amongst this rubble called "extremely poor optimization".

Do better, Capcom. This is a 70 USD game.

Minimal technical issues. The world isn't as big as Elden Ring's, and the map design isn't as intuitive as Fromsoft's, but the overall quality of the game from an otherwise unknown chinese developer has surprisingly very little room for improvement.

The optimization is a far cry and so much more better than the recent western slop that's been released so far. This game is the best example of how lazy and greedy western devs have been, obsessing over the most useless things.

Early Access Review
There's literally 3 bosses, about 15 mobs with recolours to make an "elite" version, and 3 maps. The final patch will be the 1.0 release, which adds another single boss. For this pricepoint, it's asking too much. The balance is also all over the place. How did we get to here from Curse of the Dead Gods?

And because players were chewing through it too fast, they nerfed everything just to artifically pad a game that only features so little.

- No regional pricing. This means a 10 USD package costs me 11.5 instead.
- Monetization is ♥♥♥♥ where a hero unlock skip is 300, but the closest you can buy is 250.
- Absolutely SH*TTY performance. Though to be fair, it is still improved compared to the 1st beta. But still very, VERY bad.
- Skins are EXTREMELY expensive. It's OW2 levels of expensive.

Basically, this game is a mix of Warframe's character unlock system (grinding), and Destiny 2's gameloop. The copying of these two systems were intentional to maximize the sale of boosts within the shop. It's quite a nice game, on par with Destiny 2, but with far, FAR more predatory monetization. This is indeed a Nexon game.
