I was mutilated.
I was butchered. Decapitated. Annihilated. Eliminated. Executed.
I was obliterated.
I was finished off.
I got impaled, slaughtered, murdered.
I kicked the bucket.

私は切り刻まれました。スライスして開きます。伐採。 私は手足を切断されました。 私は屠殺された。断頭。全滅。排除。実行。 私は抹殺されました。 とどめを刺しました。 私は串刺しにされ、虐殺され、殺された。 私はバケツを蹴った。

The way of the samurai is found in death. Meditation on inevitable death should be performed daily. Every day when one´s body and mind are at peace, one should meditate upon being ripped apart by arrows, rifles, spears and swords, being carried away by surging waves, being thrown into the midst of a great fire, being struck by lightning, being shaken to death by a great earthquake, falling from thousand-foot cliffs, dying of disease or committing seppuku at the death of one´s master. And every day without fail he should consider himself as dead. This is the substance of the way of the samurai.

武士の道は死の中にある。避けられない死についての瞑想は毎日行うべきです。身も心も平穏な毎日、矢、小銃、槍、刀で引き裂かれたり、押し寄せる波に流されたり、大火の中に投げ出されたり、雷に打たれたり、大地震で揺さぶられて死んだり、千フィートの崖から落ちたり、病気で亡くなったり、主人の死に切腹したりして瞑想すべきです。そして、毎日、必ず自分は死んだとみなさなければならない。これが武士の道の本質です。
