An excellent adventure!
I advise everyone, very cool puzzles and a plot!

The Last Campfire is an adventure puzzle game.

This is an astonishingly good game in all aspects and I loved playing through it. The story is immaculate and interesting, the characters and absolutely lovely (the main ones of course) and the music is mostly atmospheric, but it fits the game to perfection. The puzzles varies from easy to average in difficulty, it is definitely not a challenging game and it would be a good introduction to people who want to get into adventure puzzle video games. The goal of the game is to save everyone who are ready to be helped, making them happy again by reigniting their flames using your puzzle prowesses.

The graphics are wholesome and cute as well and the game passes a strong message if you do read and listen to everything. I have a few minor gripes with the game but they're honestly not important at all, namely: the controls could be better, very few dialogues are repeated (like the snake's) and it's a little short. The last element it perhaps for the best however, as I did not ever get bored of the game at any point!

Overall, fantastic game and deserving of it's rating. I would still get it on sale considering the price for 5 hours of content, but I will admit that the price is justified for such a polished and well-rounded game.

If you enjoy simple leisurely games that lean more towards storytelling rather than battles, then this game is perfect! Similar to games like Journey, Sky: Children of Light or even the new Jusant, it blends together simple puzzles with themes of overcoming grief, trauma and what may happen at 'end of life' in a calm and composed manner. While these types of themes may not be for everyone, The Last Campfire does such a good job of presenting these heavier tones in ways that aren't too depressing or in your face; more so, I feel that the game makes players think about many different types of mental illnesses, grief, varying traumas and such and how people face them, whether it be the person themselves or their loved ones.

Main Points:
1) The game can be completed in as little as a few hours to a couple days, depending on how fast one wants to play. If quick & easy games are your thing, than say no more!
2) The other aspect of this game are its puzzles, which can be turned off in Explorer Mode. However, in my own opinion after having played and completed the game, the puzzles make the game more entertaining.
3) There are no battles, which makes this a very cozy and leisurely game that can be played at your own pace. It only has an autosave feature, so be aware of that!
4) For younger audiences, it would be a great way to present these otherwise heavier life themes, as they are inevitable and they will face them sooner or later. Having a simple and calm game like this is a good way to open the path for discussion.
5) I personally would not consider this game as having religious tones or themes, rather presenting its ideas on handling grief and traumas in a neutral manner, but it is open for interpretation as anything is. The characters are called 'embers' and their world is a 'place between places' where they all go to prepare before moving on to the next world. What is that next world? You may decide for yourself~
