I am very torn about this one. The aesthetics of the game are beautiful. It is so pretty. And I kinda wanna live in Estello.

BUT the game has two problems:
- The gameplay is mid at best, and I am generous here. It's really not much else than: Drive here, then drive there, climb this tower.
- The story and writing is trash tier. Most characters do nothing but give you one single quest. You talk 5 sentences with them. That's it. The main story itself is bland, and leaves a bad aftertaste. I was getting excited for more secrets and twists, and then it just ends and leaves a bad aftertaste.

Now, I could live with either of those two points if the other were not true. A fun game with a bad story is still fun. And a mid game with a good story can be an experience worth spending time on.
But you should have at least one.

You are getting 8 different takes on Solitaire here with varying degrees of difficulty (and fun). Great for a quick game in between :D.

First of all: I liked this game. It's really good. But I can't recommend it. If I could give it a neutral review, I would.

TL;DR: Cute story, but this game almost only did the bare minimum.

On a positive note, the game looks and feels very well. No bugs to be seen, nice visuals, etc. The characters as well as the story are interesting, and the gameplay is fun.

And while the story is interesting, it has its weakness. The "plot twists" were foreshadowed so much, the only twist would have been if there was a red herring.
That itself would have been okay, but there is nothing else to the game. It feels like the bare minimum. A branching story was written, and well executed, but they forgot the world building except the bar minimum which was necessary to untwist the plot twists (see above). We didn't get time to explore most characters, and I really wanted to explore the valentine mansion, which I never got to. The whole game I was looking forward to finally get in there ...

I backtracked every area I could access in every chapter, spoke with everyone and examined everything, left the game running one hour because I had someplace to be and there is no safe/load (or any real options) and it got me to 6 hours of play time. Buy on sale.
