For years I have been perfecting the Do The Mario dance. I have managed to perfect the movements of a schizophrenic drunkard and perfectly sync it with music, however I have yet to discover the secret of Lou Albano's teleportation technique, I shall never complete my art if I cannot adopt his abilities. Has all of my hard work just been for nothing? Somebody save me from the dark labyrinth I have lost myself in. It's cold, Lou Albano's voice taunts me, his words "just like that" echo constantly, he knows I have not perfected his sacred dance, I am a failure in his eyes. God has left me unfinished.

I got into Undertale relatively late, compared to most. I remember when it blew up, I was a Tumblr kid back in the day, but the game just never appealed to me, and I didn't check it out. I was in my edgy teen phase of hating whatever was popular, plus the early Undertale fandom annoyed me. My sister lived and breathed the game, and that didn't help matters.

Years later, back in early 2024, I finally played the game for the first time, and after doing another playthrough just a few weeks ago with the help of the mod "Undertale: Red and Yellow", I truly see what I have been missing all this time.

Undertale may not have the greatest mechanics, especially compared with it's successor, Deltarune. But it makes up for it with a very charming world, hillarious characters (pretty much every Monster is someone's favorite.), knock your socks off soundtrack, and just a positive vibe that we all need in this hateful world nowadays. I regret not playing this game back in 2015, because I know it would have changed my life. If you haven't played this masterpiece yet, then please, play it. It's not that long, and it absolutely draws you into its world.

Also play Undertale Yellow it's also really good.

I can't really review or describe this game. To describe or review a game like this feels, disingenious to the amount of work and passion that went into it, and I can't really describe this game without going into detail, either. What I will say is that this is a game that you need to play at some point in your life. It took me years to play it, and it was worth the wait.
