A short relaxing game that has a really nice low-poly aesthetic. It is a sort of puzzle adventure game but the puzzles weren't terribly hard. I really enjoyed the sections with the legendary beasts as well.
Looking for something small to spend your time on? This one is great.

I enjoyed traveling the multi-verse after getting my initial ending.
My biggest issue with the game is that the given captions do not match a lot of the dialogue. There were times where the mixing was bad causing the dialog audio to be drowned out by the background music. In those cases, you need to rely on the captions which tended to be different than what was actually being said.
The captions were more the gist of what was said rather than proper captions.

A fun intermediate (imo) puzzle/platforming game. I didn't find myself having too much difficulty with some of the island puzzles, but there were a few that made me take a minute or two to figure out how to complete it.
I did manage to "break" a couple of the puzzles (and by break, I mean that I clearly wasn't meant to do them in the way that I did), but I found the level design to be really great. From introducing new mechanics to the look and complexity of the islands, the level design was solid.

I beat the whole game in one sitting and I'm glad I picked it out of my backlog to play. Good job devs!

I may not fully understand the story the developers had in mind in GRIS but what I do know is that I loved every bit of it. GRIS is such a beautifully mesmerizing game that takes you on a journey through desolate scenery to which you bring color and life.
I have to admit that by the end of the game, it had me tearing up a bit with the excellent use of visuals and lovely music for a truly climactic experience.

Bravo Nomada. Your team's heart shines bright throughout this game.

I wish I could give this a more neutral recommendation. If you're looking for more of the original Alan Wake in terms of atmosphere and story, you will find yourself.

American Nightmare is an arcade-like version which has Alan dealing with Mr. Scratch who we saw near the end of the original game. The small story is told within three main levels that you'll repeat over and over, with each revolution becoming more truncated than the one before. It was neat, sure, but I was hoping for a bit more. I had no desire to play the score attack modes of the game so my time will remain just under 5 hours since that's about how long it'll take you to complete the story (likely much less if you just blast through everything).

For what I wanted out of the game and for those that may want the same, I can't recommend the game. Others may get more value out of it than I did, however.

Worth every bit of it, in my opinion. If you like deckbuilding and other puzzle shenanigans, this is your game. As others have stated, it is best to go in with no knowledge of the game in order to fully experience the game. That's just what it is; a great experience from start to finish.

A cute adventure-puzzle game that's just plain good! Joining the Habitat, you're compelled to help the citizens that can't seem to helped by the caretaker of the place. What makes the game good is the cool art style, the many different characters, as well as the puzzles themselves. I like that there isn't always just one way to help some of the citizens and found myself stuck in certain instances. The game does feature a reasonable in-game hint system if you're really stuck which is nice. I know I made use of it at times. :D

After playing through several locations within the game's World Tour mode I feel like I can say that this is a solid "play when you want/feel" game. It is a good arcade racer with a great look/aesthetic that somewhat reminded me of the old Cruisin' USA arcade game.

I say it's a "play when you want/feel" because unless you really love racers, I don't see why you'd want to push through the entire game. There are a lot of levels/tracks included in the game but, as with most racers, it eventually feel like it's all the same after a while. The provided cars (35 in total that I saw) all seem to handle the same despite them having different stats. It could just be minute enough but I couldn't sense a difference and was able to use one car for most of the races that I played until the newer ones were slightly unlocked.

There are upgrade races within each main location of the World Tour that, if you placed well enough, would provide all of your cars with an upgrade (selected by you). You're able to choose from three different upgrades per race so you can focus on certain car stats is over which is nice. If you mess up the choice however, I didn't notice an easily noticeable way to reset them. I could have just missed that option if it was there however.

All in all, a good arcade racer with good vibes that you can pick up and play whenever you're in the mood for some races.

A wonderful puzzle game with lovely animations for the characters.
The puzzles found in Teslagrad were creative and sometimes pretty difficult to either execute or figure out. The hardest part, for me, though were the boss fights. Each one felt different and utilized different mechanics to overcome them. The hard part was that they throw random abilities and phases out you making it very trial and error what to expect. You can only be hit one time to be killed so any error when trying to learn the boss sends you back to the start of the fight. It is very satisfying to overcome that but I can see it putting some more casual puzzle people off.

For the price, I think it's pretty solid for the quality. I did not go for all of the collectibles so that could likely add another hour or so beyond what I've played.

An emotional adventure of two brothers determined to explore the world outside their home to save their dying father.
The story of the game is told primarily through the gibberish language that the character speak and the gestures that they make. Even with that limitation, the game is able to display a variety of scenes to evoke different motions from you.
I liked the control scheme of each brother being controlled with their respective trigger and thumbstick on a controller. There were times however where I would mix up the brothers with where they were on screen which would end up with one of the failing or dying in a puzzle. That's nothing on the game, just my dumb self. I did not play the game with a keyboard but as the page itself says it requires a controller I wouldn't recommend playing it with a keyboard.
The world where their adventure takes places is filled with interesting environments and creatures. I just wish it was a bit longer to show off more of that world.

Overall, the game is fantastic but really short. For $15, that's pretty pricey and you may feel you're not getting your money's worth. I'd say wait for under $10 and you may feel better about it.
