Burial at Sea was good but could've been better. The storyline felt obsolete and not much emotion was set in motion. Characters were not true to their personalities. The DLCs feel short and could've been made longer. The aesthetic appeal of the newly improved Rapture was nice and the gameplay was good too. I recommend you get it only if you enjoyed Bioshock Infinite and have an appetite for an expanded story.

Bioshock Infinite is a game that does some things very right but some different compared to its predecessors (Bioshock 1 and 2).

The first two Bioshock games have a stronger exploration and scavenging element compared to Infinite. Bioshock 1 and 2 is a more open world mob-killing extravaganza. Bioshock Infinite has a more controlled and guided storyline and a much more 'mapped' environment for combat. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, and is a big change in the franchise.

Bioshock Infinite delivers a vivd and colourful world. Set in a flying city in the 1900s, Bioshock Infinite shows a religion-driven world wonderfully. Whereas Bioshock 1 and 2 existed in a static and very dark and claustrophobic environment, Infinite does the opposite. Graphics are very well detailed and runs well on AMD machines.

One of the strongest elements of the game is its plot. Without trying to give away much, it is complex but very rewarding when one understands it. Characters are well developed and their personalities will make you fall in love with them.

Bioshock Infinite does some things poorly, however. With some digging, small plot-holes are found in the storyline and the main aspect of the story does not coincide any close to real life (not trying to give away much right now). One of the things I found rather dissapointing was that battles I was expecting didn't happen. Auto-saves are the only available way of marking your progress, manual saves are NON-EXISTENT! The game was much shorter and easier than its predecessors which might be a change to help new players from the rising popularity of PC gaming and the Bioshock franchise.

Overall, the game was amazing and the little problems didn't affect me as I thought it would. The good heavily outweighs the bad to the point where you forget the bad existed. This was an incredibly good game and I would recommend it to anyone that enjoys FPS and a strong story.

Current price: $32.99 (CAD)
Worth: $25 (CAD) due to meh replayability (still get the game!)

*Get the Season Pass if you enjoyed the game, Burial at Sea is a really great extension to the game*

Free, simple, and delivers a ton of nostalgia.

The dialogue seems very realistic and it connects to you on a personal level of regret and whatnot. It's a great game to play when you're bored.

*UPDATED REVIEW FOR LATE DECEMBER 2015*

When I compare this game to its previous version(s), I see a big improvement in development. The game starts to somewhat take shape and the old incomplete game fades away. However, it's clear that the game is still not even close to being finished. Why? The game still adopts its original (yet ironically unoriginal) concept of age-influenced perception. As stated by myself (in my previous review) and by others, it's simply NOT MEANINGFUL, NOT NEW, and NOT SPECIAL IN ANY WAY.

The environment of the world(s) in the game is incomplete (such as the cut-off street in the old man talking scene) and the graphics are very basic, even for its low-poly style. There is no introduction, you just get straight into the blank world with a numerous amount of doors (horrible beginning). No drive is seen to be implemented into the game, causing the player to have no motivation in completing the BASIC and LONG "puzzles/objectives" the game offers. It's seriously odd that the developers of the game chose to put cheerful music in moments of shock (such as the husband strangling his wife in front of the child); it completely ruins the mood.

The game is incompelte in all aspects of game-making and its core subject is a bore. In fact, the only thing that is good with this game is its free price tag. I do, however, see a big improvement from before. I hope when the game finishes its early-access stage everything will improve greatly to the point where it can let players have a reason to play the game.

TL;DR: Game is still incomplete and is completely lacking in all aspects of game-development. Recent updates with the game has, however, been somewhat promising. Unless you've got ~30 minutes to waste (and I mean you've REALLY got 30 minutes to waste), then you can go ahead and give this game a go.

2/10 - "The Way of Life - free, dull, and pointless just like the real thing."

[To developers: Either hire new people to work on the game or get real advice from game-makers or the community.]
