An incredible game with non-stop bugs and jank.

Can't complete quests because mobs never respawn. Lose a hundred hours of work because you got kicked and respawned in the mouth of the worm. Can't rejoin your seitch because R62 means you can't login.

This game is in beta. And bugs are ALL over the place.

It is exhausting.

This game is fun. I am enjoying the stealth and armory choices. Definitely worth a buy.

BUT...

The enemy AI is absolutely atrocious. If you fire a gun within earshot of any enemy, the whole screen fills with bad guys with guns running straight at you. I get that these bad guys are junkies and not likely sober, but nothing robs you of total clarity. If you heard a gunshot, you would, most likely, look for cover or concealment before trying to return fire. It would be fun if a random mob did a berserker run straight toward you - but it is every single enemy. The utter lack of self preservation kind of ruins the fun.

I wouldn't mind if this was a stealth game, but I really wanted gunfights with enemies that know how to use guns and take advantage of cover. One gunshot and the game turns into Vampire Survivors.

Hoping there is some tweaking and tuning to the enemy AI.

Raiders of the Lost Ark is my all time favorite movie.

Indy, of course, is one of my all time favorite action heroes. Indy is vulnerable. He doesn't know martial arts and his ability to use a firearm is basic and grounded in reality.

That said, I can't say that I enjoyed the two recent movies. So, I was nervous that this would be more of that, than of the iconic Jones. But this game is the perfect marriage of the cinematic sweeps of the movies' music, cinematography, and the clever style with which Indy circumvents the bad guys and finds a way to save the day.

This game is amazing. I do have nitpicks with it, but it is certainly a worthy addition to the Jones library.

Good stuff:
Dialogues is witty.
Troy Baker gives a career best performance.
Cinematics are on par with the movies.
Sound FX are chunky and the right hard hitting smashing notes of the 80s action films.
The world is alive and full of characters.

Bad stuff:
Repetitive scenery as you will be stuck on a level for some time, accomplishing goals.
Easy to cheese combat.
AI is a little daft.

Loving this game so far. The nitpicks are minor and the game is glorious. I wish there was less emphasis on collecting items to maximize your combat and strengths, but it is what it is.

Two beginner tips -
The camera icon will show up when there is an item worth shooting. You don't have to have it up at all times.
This is not a stealth game. I played stealth for a bit until everything went sideways and learned that Indy can stand his ground. If you don't want to hide in the shadows - don't!

Blizzard has lost the plot.

I love the Diablo series but it has never recaptured the magic of D2. The current title is lacking an endgame and a variety of loot or build choices.

PoE did not click with me, for whatever reason. But this one grabbed me instantly. This feels like the true successor to the D2 legacy. The dark and dismal world is wonderful so far. The combat is engaging and more skill based than button mashing and hoping for a win. There is a variety of classes to choose from. Crafting, even in the early game, seems to greatly affect the strength of your build.

I have dumped a ton of hours into all of the Diablo games. But I believe I have scratched an itch here that Diablo is just not satisfying. I cannot wait to progess through this game and see where it goes!

Great game. Truly enjoyed everything.

Until I logged in and I seem to have lost about seven years.

Seven.

In this game, that was a lot of maneuvering Stephan and Gloria and the parents. I literally lost a plotline that took three or more hours to construct and digest.

And now..... back to an age that was seven years younger.

I am going to delete this garbage and am very disappointed.

This was incredible until this point.
