I've been playing games on the PC before playing on any other platform, starting with FriendlyWare for DOS.
I played nearly the entire library of Atari games using the Atari 800 computer (where I had roughly 2-6 games on each 5.25" floppy) while waiting for IBM-PCs to catch up... Software of the Month Club helped in finding new games, including hit titles such as Wolfenstein, Duke Nukem, Doom, Commander Keen, Hocus Pocus, etc.

When Counter-strike 1.2 came out, I was introduced to the game by a friend. The game used a new optional service called Steam. This was my first encounter with Steam, but things didn't really kick off until Half-Life 2 came out, when my brother gifted me the Valve Silver Pack - my second foray into the world of download-only games.

History aside, I'm medically retired, which means that I have the rest of my life to spend without the worry of a 'job', but that I'm restricted to activities that are within the confines of my medical situation. For me, that's just fine, because I can play games until my dying breath.

I also enjoy messing with computer hardware - building PCs, overclocking, repair... So if I'm not playing games, I'm probably tearing apart a computer or building a new one.

DO NOT RELY UPON ME
I have a brain injury; with it comes the lack of attention and memory that is more often associated with squirrels and goldfish.

If I am contributing content or efforts to a certain game, I am never to be relied upon to continue such contributions, as anything could distract me away from such endeavors for many months. Sometimes it's a hardware issue, sometimes it's something else, but I have never been able to stick to any one game for a long period of time, no matter how dedicated I may seem.

Consider yourself warned.

This is a collection of log entries from ships, players, and stations the Triad Sector private server. Most; if not all, form a central story that is an excellent read. The main story has recently discontinued, but if you want to add to it, please comment

meh, 130 is tame. I slacked off during the most recent holiday sale... would've been 150 or so if I put nearly as much effort into it as I have for sales before it. Just have to play the trading card system right and levels are easy.
