This game is TRASH in its current state. Sure, a lot of your friends play it and want to you to join them on their sweat-filled, ass clenching, agonising journey to that sweet sweet diamond rank. But in the end, it really isn't worth it in a static ass game like this. There isn't any actual dynamism to the game play once you really get into it. The same strats, the same maps that people pick because they're too scared to lose their precious elo to a map they're unfamiliar with and of course, the same stupid operator bans despite many available counters and/or better bans to go for, but no, we must mirror what the pro demi-gods of this game do because we are definitely playing the game the same way they do.

Oh yeah, Ubisoft doesn't know how to balance or protect their game by the way. While on this aforementioned ranked grind you'll also experience these delightful encounters with hackers. Most aren't blatant and you'll most likely never clock you're against/with a closet hacker on your team until you load up the game and are subdued to multiple elo roll backs due to hackers getting banned, in turn ridding your account of the precious ass clenching, sweat-filled, agonising barely-worth-it elo that you spent hours gaining.

A majorly braindead playerbase full of Midlands inbreds, French frogs with aspergers, and closet homosexual arabs, its truly a mostly infuriating experience on this game, not because of any toxicity per se (real men/women can handle that toxicity or simply tap on that tantalising mute button you always hover over, doubting yourself constantly, thinking that muting that inbred British kid might not be worth just so you're able to get that sweet, sweet information), but rather due to the short-comings of the incompetent developers at Ubisoft who seem to be just winging it as they go with no long-term vision for the game they seemingly unintentionally developed into the current hellscape that commonly referred to as Rainbow Six Seige.
